I've had my Palisade for about 3 weeks now, and 3 different times while driving down the road, I've received a message that says: "CHECK BLIND-SPOT COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM". Neither times has it been while there were other cars around or when I was in any traffic. All 3 times have been when I was on a 2-lane road with no other cars around. The warning light (an orange triangle with an exclamation inside) will stay on until I turn the car off and won't come back on when I start it up again. Has anyone else had this issue?
There is a code fix at the dealership Mines was fix in January with no more problems to date

My Palisade (Ultimate) is under a month old 1110 KM on it and it started giving me this issue. It usually starts warning within 10 KM of driving. A power off and powering back on would resolve only to re-appear in few KMS of driving. I took the it to the dealer for check up. They checked in my car, I opted to wait. In 2-3 hours they told nothing could be found, they plugged in the computer and tested all components, everything works well, I doubt if they even drove my car to test it. I drove off from the dealer and within 3 KM it came back, i returned back to the dealer, this time did not turned off the engine and showed them. They called in the technician, I can see it on their faces they were not sure what is happening and are lost. They said, we will reset the system and you need to keep eye on it. If it re-appears we will change the the Blind spot system. About 250 KM driven since reset and yesterday it came back again.

I am done dealing with Hyundai, the nearest dealer is 45 KM where I live. Due to current pandemic they are working Monday to Friday,so am I.
Who else can I escalate my issue? Dealer doesn't seems to be of much help.

Thanks

Just tell them the TSB to get the software update.

Hi, I am Nick and I am new to the forum. I have the same problem with my Palisade Ultimate. Today I took it to the dealership for the re-occurrence of the exact same problem. To make matters worse, I don't even know if they know how to actually fix it or if they even have a checklist when they do repairs like this. Reason I say this is because, when they initially worked on the problem over a month ago, my rear cross-traffic warning system was dis-abled after they did the "FIX" on the BCW.

Had this warning pop up and my entire Kona jerked forward (not a brake system activation jerk) it was more like a transmission jerk that rocked the whole Kona forward while drivkng at 65mph on a two lane highway no other cars on the road. The warning flashed, the car then rocked forward and I pulled over. Very scary. Anyone have that symptom occur along with the “check collision system” dashboard warning???

I bought my Kona July 31 2020, last year. December 4, 2020 I was at a Starbucks drive through window getting coffee when this happened to me! It felt like my car stalled but it was still running, however I had lost all of my dashboard functions and had the BCW system light come on. I was in the drive through! I didn’t hit anything! No speedometer, no dashboard, no turn signals, said I was in park even though I was in drive mode. It was scary! I couldn’t get my car in until the following Tuesday, Dec 8th. The Dealership had my car for 8 weeks because they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. They finally checked through enough things to conclude it was a faulty module that registered! Well it happened again this evening! I went to my friends for tea and a visit and the same thing happened!! I didn’t hit anything! Of course it’s a Friday again and I’ll have to wait til next week to get the car in. This is so frustrating!! Not happy. If it is a recall issue how long will it take to get to that point! I may trade the car in before that happens! Anyone else recently experiencing this? Any other Kona owners??

I’m so frustrated with the dealership I bought my 2020 Palisade brand new (waited from Dec 2019 for it to arrive)! I took it to them in July 2024 about the warning of the Blind Spot Collision Warning! I was told they couldn’t get it to recreate to get the code! They send me a video with mechanic walking around the car & checking under the hood!!
I told them have to drive at least 10 minutes or more & it will pop up so obviously they didn’t because when I picked up the car hadn’t even driven 10 mins when the warning came back on! They told me I have to drop it off this time (1st time waited 6 hours in lobby with my service\emotional support dog)!

Fast forward I decided to go to another Hyundai dealership closer to my home last Thursday because closer to my home & then could take me back home per shuttle!

They called me after 7 hours & said they couldn’t find it so they reset the sensor & if it comes back let them know! I picked it & drove home & put it in garage! I work from home so don’t drive it a lot!

I drove it today 2 days after reset & yep warning came back! I immediately drove it back to the 2nd dealership & of course have to make appointment 2 weeks from now! They said without the code they can’t order another sensor because they have to send the old one to Hyundai & if no code then the dealership will be stuck with the bill which is expensive because the sensor is under warranty! I even had a picture of the issue but was told that they need a code! I asked why can’t they enter the description so a code could come up but was told it doesn’t work that way!!!

When i left their desk got back in the car which was still running, warning dinged again & went back into service to see if they could get the computer & put it on! He said ahh don’t have one right now while never getting up😡😡

So I guess the customer/owner gets stuck with the problem’
