2023 Palisade tow hitch harness

Hello friends.
I just traded in my 22 Palisade for a 23 Palisade.
I ended up buying a new tow hitch and tow hitch harness for my new vehicle just like I did for my 2022.
Bought the same tow hitch I had on my old one and it works perfect.
The only problem is that I can’t find where to connect my tow hitch harness.
Anyone with the same issue?
On the 22 model there was a plug behind the driver’s side rear bumper that was very easy to install.
On this one, the harness doesn’t split.

You need to look good for the plug. It is wrapped up and hidden behind trim. Not a lot of slack on it. But it is no good to you without the new redesigned harness. The signals on it are CAN bus.
Thx man i looked very good and my final check that there is no trailer fuse. I have sticker in korean, checked slot that translates as trailer, but there is no metal pin in it...
Hello everyone,

Just got the trailer hitch wiring harness part# S8F67-AC800 for my 2023 Palisade. Got it May 19th but the ETA was for June 6th. Unfortunately, I had to cancel two camping trips because of this back order.

I installed the harness as it’s plug and play and simple to install. Please note that there are several plugs (6-7) and so I would not recommend having a trailer hitch shop install the harness by splicing into the wires as the dealer recommended me to do at the time. Hyundai (the dealer and Hyundai Canada) could not give me a straight answer as to whether that was covered under warranty. Reading previous blogs, there have been fires due to 3rd party meddling, hence my concern.

To answer Tkmitchell’s question about where I installed the brake module, well it is on the fuse hatch cover lid (beside your left knee when you are at the wheel). The hatch has a handle hole & that’s where I passed the wires (not my idea, got that from a previous blog…). It is esthetically OK and not at all in the way.

Thanks all for your advice on this.

Do you recall when you originally ordered it??...I ordered mine on January 19th. I got the noticed that mine is on its way and just wondering how long it took yours to get to you
Hello LeRoy S. The order was placed February 13th 2023. Sounds like there are discrepancies in delivery time due to your location. Hope that is sorted out soon for you. Pierre-Yves
Hello LeRoy S.

The order was placed February 13th 2023 at Pathway Hyundai <[email protected]>. They are in Orleans, a suburb of Ottawa.

Sounds like there are discrepancies in delivery time due to your location.

Hope that is sorted out soon for you.

I don't remember exactly but seems like mine took a week in customs.

Got an update today on my part and its on its way to my distribution center and delivery estimated by May 24th.
Hello all!-I traded my 22 calligraphy for a 23 due to a nice old tree🤪. I’m trying to find a solution as well here in the US. When I ask my dealership here about the wiring harness and such that seems to be in Canada they tell me that it is a separate market any they have no timeline for me. Does anyone have this issue as well? Is there a workaround that will also not void the warranty? This is, IMHO, false advertising.
thank you for any information you may have.
To the ones installed the Canadian harness (or any other for that matter) where/how you mount the 7-pin connector?
I saw some brackets with two screws, and thinking if drilling two small holes in the hitch (on the flat piece from the tube to receiver) is a good idea?

I received my harness today....I have pictures attached to show what all came with it.
I am going to attempt to install the harness this weekend, like you said in earlier posting, the instruction seems pretty straight forward with pictures!!!...LOL

I found an attachment from CURT that attaches to the receiver with a space next to it for the harness. It was about $20 or so...I believe I got it from etrailer.com

Probably. Been available in Canada for months. I got mine in December and that was after others mentioned getting one. You know, since the US is having all this bullshit trade war with China, wonder if it being made there is causing some issue with it being released here?

They (Hyundai) should be giving a discount to us if that is true, but we will never know.
Here is the site that is from CURT for a bracket that I ordered from etrailer.

Also, I have a pic attached of it...

Go to etrailer.com. they sell a bracket for cheap money comes with a dust cover. Just ask the chat agent if you can't find it in their store.

Have you installed it already? I wonder why the manual says the harness should be installed before hitch. Does installed hitch prevent installation of harness? I’m still waiting for my harness, but ready to install hitch
