Thx man i looked very good and my final check that there is no trailer fuse. I have sticker in korean, checked slot that translates as trailer, but there is no metal pin in it...You need to look good for the plug. It is wrapped up and hidden behind trim. Not a lot of slack on it. But it is no good to you without the new redesigned harness. The signals on it are CAN bus.
Do you recall when you originally ordered it??...I ordered mine on January 19th. I got the noticed that mine is on its way and just wondering how long it took yours to get to youHello everyone,
Just got the trailer hitch wiring harness part# S8F67-AC800 for my 2023 Palisade. Got it May 19th but the ETA was for June 6th. Unfortunately, I had to cancel two camping trips because of this back order.
I installed the harness as it’s plug and play and simple to install. Please note that there are several plugs (6-7) and so I would not recommend having a trailer hitch shop install the harness by splicing into the wires as the dealer recommended me to do at the time. Hyundai (the dealer and Hyundai Canada) could not give me a straight answer as to whether that was covered under warranty. Reading previous blogs, there have been fires due to 3rd party meddling, hence my concern.
To answer Tkmitchell’s question about where I installed the brake module, well it is on the fuse hatch cover lid (beside your left knee when you are at the wheel). The hatch has a handle hole & that’s where I passed the wires (not my idea, got that from a previous blog…). It is esthetically OK and not at all in the way.
Thanks all for your advice on this.

I don't remember exactly but seems like mine took a week in customs.Do you recall when you originally ordered it??...I ordered mine on January 19th. I got the noticed that mine is on its way and just wondering how long it took yours to get to you

To the ones installed the Canadian harness (or any other for that matter) where/how you mount the 7-pin connector?
I saw some brackets with two screws, and thinking if drilling two small holes in the hitch (on the flat piece from the tube to receiver) is a good idea?
I received my harness today....I have pictures attached to show what all came with it.I don't remember exactly but seems like mine took a week in customs.
I found an attachment from CURT that attaches to the receiver with a space next to it for the harness. It was about $20 or so...I believe I got it from etrailer.comTo the ones installed the Canadian harness (or any other for that matter) where/how you mount the 7-pin connector?

Probably. Been available in Canada for months. I got mine in December and that was after others mentioned getting one. You know, since the US is having all this bullshit trade war with China, wonder if it being made there is causing some issue with it being released here?Hi am I seeing right that these were made in China in August of 2022 ?
They (Hyundai) should be giving a discount to us if that is true, but we will never know.i make a little bracket for it that i attached to the receiver.

Have you installed it already? I wonder why the manual says the harness should be installed before hitch. Does installed hitch prevent installation of harness? I’m still waiting for my harness, but ready to install hitchHere are pictures of the harness I got today from Canada
