You might need a whole new system or replacement part. Did you try calling some other local dealers, if there are any in your area? I called a few (Southern California) and they are all familiar with the problem and have some Palisades being fixed there now. Some of the dealers said they recalibrated (some called it relearned) the system and that worked, but who knows if it's a long-term fix. For our Palisade, they're recommending replacement (of what exactly, I'm not sure) and we are still waiting for a backordered replacement part. They thought ours had come in earlier this week, but it was actually for someone else who brought their car in earlier.
Why isn't there a safety recall on this yet?

I've had my Palisade for about 3 weeks now, and 3 different times while driving down the road, I've received a message that says: "CHECK BLIND-SPOT COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM". Neither times has it been while there were other cars around or when I was in any traffic. All 3 times have been when I was on a 2-lane road with no other cars around. The warning light (an orange triangle with an exclamation inside) will stay on until I turn the car off and won't come back on when I start it up again. Has anyone else had this issue?
I had mine in the shop, they recalibrated it and now it works fine with no issues.

I dropped off my car at the dealer on Monday and I heard back from them today. According to my service rep Hyundai is going to release an update to fix the system on Friday. We will see if this is panacea we been waiting for.
Just got my car reset temporarily because a new car specialist visited the shop I had my car in for this issue and he said an update is forthcoming. Not out yet, but hopefully soon!

I've had the same problem with our 2020 Palisade Limited. The system malfunctions after driving a few miles regardless of temperature, city/highway/country road, or speed. It resets after restarting the car, but malfunctions again within a few miles. When the system malfunctions, I get a "controller error" message if I try to deactivate active assist. I called Hyundai, they are aware of the problem, but say there's no current fixes. I've read on this and other forum that recalibrating only works for 800-1000 miles. Is anyone aware of actual fix to the problem? Has anyone heard anything different?

Purchased ours in late October, failed by mid November. Dealer initially said it may have been hit by another car. What a dumb thing to say with no obvious signs of damage! The scary part is that this dealer didn't seem to know how to address it so they did a simple reset to clear the error on the first visit. It failed again during the 10 mile drive home. Had to make another service appointment and took it back two weeks later. On the second visit they talked about having to drop the rear bumper to replace sensors. Fortunately it didn't come to that and they ended up doing a complete "software update" to clear the error. One thousand miles later and the error came back for the third time. I'm scheduled to drop it off tomorrow, 12/26.

It's really frustrating having to keep going back for this issue, but more importantly when ours fails it seem to affect other safety functions.
Hyundai better get their act together and find a fix. We love our Palisade Limited and hope it doesn't come to us having to research California Lemon Laws! :poop:
Keep us posted on what your dealer is saying regarding these failures, and when we can expect the new software updates.

It would be great if folks writing about some of these problems would also include the build date listed on the door jam. That way over time, we can tell if there is a breakpoint when the factory corrected the problems before shipping the vehicles. I have so far not experienced any of the issues mentioned in many of the posts. My build date is Oct 26th 2019. Took delivery on December 11th. So far so good. No window noise, no false blind side indications that I recall.

It seems after what I have researched, any palisade built late October 2019 and forward, seems to be trouble free. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but haven’t seen anyone with issues with a later build date

UPDATE: Took in our Palisade Limited today for the third time to address the Blind-Spot Collision Warning System error.
When I explained to the service advisor of these problem he seemed oblivious to this stating that ours was the only Palisade he knew about with this problem. I mentioned that this was a big discussion on the Palisade forums and that this would most likely become a recall issue. I mentioned that someone on the Palisade forums said Hyundai was getting ready to release a software fix. It was then that he decided to look into it searching for any new campaigns and low and behold, there it was! Per this advisor, Generic Recall T4K 990C094R1 - Palisade BCW RADAR UPDATE was just released on Monday 12/23/19. The mechanic confirmed that this campaign is specifically to address this warning system issue. It took them about 30 minutes to perform the update. So far so good, we shall see.
At least our Hyundai dealer is acknowledging the problem and the fact that they now have the "fix". Good luck with yours.

I recently drove from AZ to WA in a month old Palisade and within 5 to 30 miniutes after restarting, the system would go down with the warning. Set up an appointment in WA and within two hours got a call from the AZ dealership where we bought it asking when I could bring it in as Hyundai put out a recall (not sure if they used the correct term) on the issue. They said there was a software fix for it and would take about an hour and 15 minutes. I called the local service scheduler but she couldn't find the recall. I'm taking it in tomorrow and hoping the service advisor is familiar with the fix. I think I'll take in the above info just to be sure

My build date is October 31, and my Palisade does not exhibit any of the common problems here, including this one...no wind noise...no rattles, etc. …..just reporting so that there is some evidence of a possible factory correction related to build date...I thought at the time, speaking of October-November time frame, that there seemed to be a delay in shipments arriving at dealers lots....it seems possible that some problems might have been fixed then in Korea....but that is just a guess...

Thanks for this info! Are you in Southern California? If so, can you share what dealer you went to?

I bought car Dec 26. Build date of Nov 6, 2019. I went to dealer today to ask about this issue, asst manager said he would not have been able to sell me the car if this campaign was outstanding. He states my car is fine and doesn't need it. I haven't experienced the issue yet but I only have 65 miles on odometer. I guess time will tell.
