April 17th my Palisades was involved in an accident. I'm still waiting for all the work on the vehicle to be completed. It took over 1 month to obtain a front bumper. My car was dropped off to the dealership early this afternoon for a windshield calibration which should take 2 to 3 hours. Im without transportation as the car isn't finished. I would never advise anyone to buy a Hyundai.

Are you sure it's a Hyundai corporate problem? Are you sure your insurance company isn't requiring aftermarket parts and it is those manufacturers that are lagging? It doesn't take many years or miles for insurance companies to require aftermarket.

If it's a Hyundai dealer's body shop (you were not clear on that), it is an independent business. Regardless of make there can be wide disparities in levels of service among dealers. Perhaps the dealer is dragging their feet, understaffed, whatnot. If you live long enough, ruling out a make because of a bad dealer experience might leave you riding a bike.

Supply chain issues most notably with auto parts kicked off with Covid and for some reason have yet to really recover for car brands across the board - including domestics. The tariff issue has only served to exacerbate an existing problem. That being said - I would find out from the shop if they are choosing to or being forced to use non-OEM like HRE said above.
