Today I started it again to go somewhere and it’s doing it again. I’m so worried, has anyone had a problem like this? The service department is closed for the weekend so I’m desperate for answers.
Rachel, if air is getting into the gas tank, because the filler cap was not properly screwed on after a fill-up, the engine will not operate correctly. This happened to me once, and the engine ran roughly as if the spark timing was not set correctly. The problem disappeared instantly after I adjusted the cap. If the gas cap is screwed on properly, and the engine continues to perform badly, then a visit to the service department will be necessary.

Hmmm. what is there to "learn" from a standing start. Take foot off brake.. start engine. Don't see under any circumstances a need to "learn" to start engine at 2000 rpm
Edit: Playing with the auto hold feature I notice one can lurch when one presses on the gas after a holding stop.

My girlfriends palisade limited had the same issue on an offramp today and it threw her into the wall on the left-hand side than jerked her across the highway to the right hand side.
Wow that is scary!! Has she gotten any answers as to what is wrong? Mine is back in the shop for the second time because the first time they reset it back to factory settings, and it worked for a couple days, then it started again. Mine doesn’t jump me into any other direction and it doesn’t jump far, but it jumps hard. It’s always when switching into 4th gear and upon stopping. I had been speaking with someone in a palisade Facebook group who works in the service department of a Hyundai dealership, and also had this problem with her palisade. She said there was a TCU and ECU update available that worked for most palisades with this problem, but they had two rare situations (with hers being one of the two) that had to have the transmission changed out. Well when I brought mine back into the shop yesterday I asked them to see if this update was available, and she said it wasn’t. So I asked the lady on facebook why it wasn’t showing to be available, and she said that they discontinued the update, so now I’m worried the only possible fix will be a new transmission. I’m so bummed. I only had it for one week before all of this, and have hardly driven it. It only has 519 miles on it. It really disappointing because I did so much research to make sure I was getting a reliable car, and not making a bad decision, and now this. If your girlfriend gets any answers to the problem with her palisade, please share them with me.

i am in the same boat as well, my car jumps and jerks while i accelerate from 0 to 20 miles an hour, it feels like car is searching for the next gear, jump pretty bad. m taking it to the dealership coming Thursday.
I’m sorry to hear that. Mine is now back in the shop and waiting to have the transmission changed. It only had 519 miles on it. It’s very disappointing, but I’m thankful they gave me a loaner that is exactly the same as what I had besides the exterior color. I have seen a handful of people explaining that they have this problem as well. I can only assume a batch of palisades went out with defective transmissions. Definitely bring into the dealership.

Hi Rachel, Curious if your issue has been resolved? I sure hope so.

so guess what, before going to dealer, i did my research and lot of people on internet talking about bad gas in the tank can result in jerking palisade, and yes filled up my palisade for the first time form a very ghetto gas station, i used every drop of that gas and then as per advice refilled my tank with premium high octane gas. no more jerking whatsoever. drives smooth now

I am still waiting for the transmission to be delivered and then replaced. There is only one tech at the dealership here so it could take a while for him to get to it and for the actual transmission to even come in. Hopefully sooner than later.
Well I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya. My issue with that stopped after about 50 more miles of driving, but now it drifts to the right and is at the dealership for the past week. Seems as though Hyundai techs from corporate cant figure out what the problem is. 390 miles on it and its a paperweight. Please update when yours gets sorted. Nice to know if yours gets fixed to your satisfaction.

I’ll be in touch. I’m praying things go well with it and I can just move forward after this. Thankfully I have a calligraphy loaner otherwise I would be really pissed to be paying this note on a car that I can’t even enjoy.

Thanks for the heads up Bob. That was me who posted the fix. Dealer wasnt told how to do it. Hyundai sent an engineer to the dealership to reset it. Makes no sense but its fixed!
