agreed, I can live w that but as time goes on problems seem to arise.
Just saying. Any car can have an issue... There's 1000's of moving parts. It's how the manufacturer/dealership responds to issues that matters. People pay double what we did for the Palisade and still have issues/complaints with some other brands. It is helpful for people to voice their complaints though so we can have Hyundai know and acknowledge these things.

Next fix Android Auto screen size please.

yes problems to occur, as long as Hyundai stands behind their product and does their best to repair. It's when they deny issues or blow us off then that's when it's no longer ok

I am starting the buy back process now.
I purchased a Palisade on Feb 11th 2020.
Since then, the vehicle has been at the dealership twice, totaling 34 days (and counting) of repairs.
I have personally been in possession of the Palisade for 6 days.
The dealership has put more miles on the Palisade than i have.

Here are the issues that they can't seem to solve.
  • The EPB / AUTO HOLD lights illuminate in orange on the dash. When this happens, the vehicle disables the Automatic Cruise Control Feature.
  • There was one event that the EPB / AUTO HOLD lights were illuminated, and the parking brake would not disengage. (it also happened a second time while the vehicle was in for repairs).

I had to submit paperwork (loan payoff info / sales invoice) to Hyundai corporate so they could review and determine the 'buy-back' amount.
I can promise one thing... If their buy-back amount is a penny less than i paid, i will be hiring an attorney.
I was so excited about the 2020 Palisade. It literally had EVERYTHING i would want in a SUV with a third row.
This has turned out to be a terrible experience that leaves me with 0 confidence in Hyundai and the products they make.
Anyone else having issues like this, or was it just my luck to get a LEMON.?.?.?

That's brutal. Think just bad luck. Majority of owners haven't had any issues like that. So far so good with mine.

this is not very assuring. I bought this car to replace a Nissan Quest minivan that Nissan corporate bought back due to 3 faulty transmissions (CVT). Took 6 months from initial agreement to actually surrendering the car and getting a check. It was a terrible process albeit I did not use an attorney. Keep us posted on your drama. Good luck. Don't give in unless you get what you want.
Oh, I won't give up. I have recordings of the sounds it's making. I LOVED Hyundai and in the beginning just wanted to swap out cars but they are making this SO painful. I just want to be done with this stress...this was supposed to be an exciting purchase and every time I get in my car I'm reminded I'm paying each month for this headache!

why? because my car is only a few months old, haven't driven it much, only 1500 miles. Past few days I started to hear the whistling sound from left side of driver door...
100 % agree. Mine has 866 miles on it in 3.5 months. wind noise, vibration...Hyundai keeps telling me take to another place--Someone got offered buy back less $3K or 5K check and keep the car--go to a dealer and ask for their price on it...take the best deal...take the $5K and sell it or...if the better is HMA buying it back less your $3K...this car does not get any better! HMA refuses me a buyback...I am now taking about $9K loss (payments and best offer from selling it). Just to get rid of the headache...

Why worry about things that could but haven't happened enjoy your Palisade !!
It is not enjoyable car! Wind noise & vibrations? Knocking noises! How is this an enjoyable car? Brand new cars that are loud, smelly, and shaking? Painful to drive, hands going numb from vibration? Looking at HUD and knowing you are about to hit 65 and feel the pain? Oh...ya, enjoyable POS! Not going to improve when big corporations say no problems w car and service dept. do the same!

Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but I would contact a Lemon Law attorney to see what they can do to help.

No, you are choosing to take a $9k loss because you refuse to talk to a lemon attorney and are willingly throwing out the best tool in your arsenal.

IMO this will take too long to resolve. I do not have a schedule that will allow for more back and forth with lawyers and service departments--leaving a car in the shop, etc. Just time to move on from this car/headache. HMA refuses to stand by their product--which is a big red flag--
Another person stated on here that HMA offered to buy it back but at a $4K loss to them...basically you paying like a rental car--HMA will require you to pay for the time you used the car--so I made my payments for 3 months, loss now with selling is about the same as HMA buying it back without wasting my time with lawyer. And HMA telling them to tell me to keep trying-take here or try this dealership service dept.
Some people may have time for this--I do not. So--yup, I choose to dump the car, take the loss now vs larger loss later by keeping it & more and more of the general population figures out the car is a POS and it loses more value. Taking the best offer I can get now. I could even take it and trade it in for a different car (Explorer, Acadia, Enclave, Pilot) but...IMO that is worse rolling that neg equity into a new car. And...dealers will know the problems with this car and already are offering less than the offer I have. Never have owned a Hyundai before and never will again. Maybe all their cars/SUV's are tinny sounding, rough riding--dunno. Which means none of there models hold any value as time goes on.

A 20 minute phone call would have let you actually quantify this rather than make a bunch of assumptions about a process that you aren't familiar with.

It is your money. Do what you want with it, but be realistic in that you're choosing to dispose of all of your avenues of resolving this situation in any way favorable to you. That isn't Hyundai's fault.

Lemons happen with any brand. It's your choice to either hold the manufacturer responsible or to pay for it yourself.

Longer than it took to write your post? 😃

Wow, reading all of this is somewhat disheartening. I have a Limited AWD that I bought in April 2020. Thus far I have 4,370 miles on it and have been in and out of the Service Center about 5 times. I had the wind issue, that they say they made adjustments to the door and marked it as solved. I still hear wind, although not as bad. I had "Shifter Malfunction" message and the car locked up. It would not shut off initially, then once I got it turned off, it would not start for 15 minutes. They were unable to duplicate the issue, but it has not done it again. I had vibration as well. That took 4 visits alone. The balanced the tires, then forced balanced them, then did an alignment and forced balanced again. Finally, they replaced the Propeller Shaft and another associated part. The Service Manager told me he thought the vibration is from the Bridgestone Tires. He says they are hard tires and known to be like this. My position is that Hyundai marketed this vehicle as a smooth ride and quiet vehicle. Why would they use tires that are not tuned to this vehicle to provide what they advertise?

On Thursday the AC died. They initially could not determine why it was blowing hot air. They determined that the it is a short in the AC Coil. Hyundai told them to replace the Coil and not the Compressor. The Coil is on order.

I too like the vehicle. But, I tell you, I have spent more time in the Service Center than enjoying the car...particularly since covid-19 shut most stuff down. Becoming disappointed in this purchase.
