Purchased an engine air filter the other day from Canadian Tire ($24.99 Cnd) Part #CA 11943 and found it does not fit until one trims off the excess felt seal (~0.030") from both ends. With the excess it is too long and the cover will not latch. Given all the boxes on the shelf that had been opened I suspect a good number of purchases were returned when others found the filter would not fit. A sharp box cutter did the trick but.. modifications should not be required.

Anyone found an alternative brand that does fit without modifying.. other than OEM?
