Hi, has anyone used this combo on their Palisade? If so, any issues? After much research it seems this hitch and bike rack will work fine with plenty of clearance on the car.
If anyone has used one or the other or both, please chime it with your thoughts. I appreciate the feedback as I'm looking to purchase these in the next month or so.

Thanks!!

I don't have the Kuat, but have a Yakima Holdup +2 (4 bikes total) with the Curt 13427, and it works just fine. Just enough clearance to the bumper, and enough height for reasonable clearance at the back.

The only item of warning that I would provide with tray racks is that during a heavy bump (think speed bump too fast), there is a significant risk that a mountain bike handle bar could strike the rear window when the rack bounces up. I personally experienced this, and luckily the rear window did not break, but the impact was very loud. The next long trip we take with bikes will involve some sort of padding on the end of the front most handle bars. I'm thinking a chunk of pool noodle with duct tape and a zip tie or similar...

Also be aware that a 4-bike tray rack is very long, if you intend to do any off-roading with bikes loaded, consider a hanging type of rack for less rearward extension and ground clearance.

Thanks for the feedback! My main concern was having enough clearance between the rack and the car when its in the stowed position. I like the Curt 13427 because you only see the receiver, not the entire hitch frame. Has a nice clean look. I appreciate everyone's help!
