2026 Palisade looks to Lego-like similarto the Santa Fe. Seems to look real cheap. I mean, the Hyundai vehicles are already crap cheap, but Hyundai shouldn't try so hard to make them look that way. UGLY! The 24 &25 look way better.

Typical butt hurt comment from current gen owners lol. This is nothin new. Every time new gen comes - we see current owners start posting exact same comments about " oh how horrible new gen looks, my old gen is MUCH better" :ROFLMAO: Remember same thing was from 2020-2023 owners posting about ugliest 2024-25 facelift LMAO. Relax, it's inevitable, you can't keep up with Joneses. Just bend over your ugly 24-25 model and spread your cheeks for new gen. Here it comes!

I have a ‘22 Calligraphy and I’ve “ordered” (the dealer has queued one for me) ‘26 Calligraphy Hybrid. By the time the 2026 arrives, I’ll have 100,000 miles on my ‘22. The only thing that would change my mind is if Genesis comes out with a GV80 Hybrid.

My wife wants to trade in her 21 Calligraphy for the new Calligraphy Hybrid but I refuse to buy a first generation of anything so she will have to wait for the 27 models at least. I will definitely be monitoring the 26 models to see what bugs Hyundai will have to work out.

GV80 hybrid is coming but not anytime soon. Unless you can wait couple years.
Sounds like the GV90 EV will come out slightly before a GV80 Hybrid in 2026 as 2027 models. But then again, Hyundai doesn’t always follow the normal path. It’s interesting too that no official announcement of the 2026 Telluride has yet been released. Spy shots but nothing more.

Except you are forgetting that new gen Palisade is NOT first year. It will be technically second year of production. It’s first year is already in Korea. People already driving it in Korea.
First year in the U.S. and it is totally different then what is available in Korea.

it’s exactly the same. It’s not produced in USA produced in the only factory at Ulsan in South Korea. It’s produced and shipped from Korea. The only differences are in few options like second row massaging seats and maybe a few other options that’s pretty much it.

Yeah, it is the same car, but the volume in SK is far lower than what sells in the US. Higher volume will highlight early life issues.

And it hasn't really been on sale for a full year there anyway.

Deliveries of the the 2nd. Gen in Korea did not begin until January 2025. YTD Gen 2 sales through May are as follows:

Korea domestic v6: 14,230
Korea domestic hybrid: 9,694
Korea export V6: 3,106
Korea export hybrid: 472

By the the time 2026's are released in the US the "beta test" units (to borrow a phrase from Tesla) are not going to come close to what we in the US would consider a full year of production especially with the numbers split between powertrains.

Even if there was a full year of production, I wouldn't even consider a second year purchase if the first year proved to be especially glitchy.

You'll never stop buyers paying at or above MSRP (again) for the new-new thing. The world needs people who pay for the privilege of testing products. Thank you.

Wrong. They are exactly same cars. In fact they are produced on same plant. In fact there is only one plant they are produced on. It's the same Palisade coming off production line except with English software.
There are 3 plants, not one in Korea. They are not the exact same except for software...center console, for example is modified in the '26. Probably over 90% the same now that the non-US diesel engine is gone. There is also a right side steering wheel model. Hyundai is considering making the US hybrid version in the US in one of their 3 factories here. I agree that calling it "beta" is a bit dramatic. But, the new SantaFe did have early transmission issues. I do wish the US Palisade version was designed from the beginning for the US market and not a tweaked Korea car.

Never been concerned about first year bugs because of Hyundai’s incredible warranty.

They only build the Palisade at one of the SK plants. Not all 3.

The transmission in the non-hybrid Santa Fe with the 2.5L T engine is a dual clutch transmission. That is not the transmission that will be used on the hybrid Palisade with that same engine, as far as I can tell.

Yes, the Santa Fe dual clutch paired with the 2.5L turbo is an 8 speed. I'm reading that the trans in the Palisade hybrid will be a 6 speed. I can't tell if the Palisade hybrid 6 speed will be the same as or a variant of the 6 speed in the Santa Fe hybrid.
