has anyone considered suing Hyundai for false advertising or misrepresentation. their brochure says the 2023 Palisade across all models is trailer pre wired. Myself and it seems a few others on this form have the same problem of not having the car pre wired , and have to pay for third party for parts and installation

The car is not pre-wired or anything else. I just spoke to a service rep at Hyundai. They are clueless but I insisted that they will make it right at no additional cost to us

What are supposed to do in the mean time? I planned to go camping. They advertised pre wired and it is not. Does it have the heavy-duty transmission oil cooler and the Trailer Sway Control which are standard across all models like the pre wire.

If they're clueless, why do you believe them?

The Palisade is absolutely pre-wired. Just in case you don't know what that means: there is a wire harness running from the back of the car (accessible from under the car near the rear bumper) to the cabin, behind the dash (at knee height). You buy you hitch and a harness that connects from that hitch to the pre-wiring at the back of the car. In the cabin, you access the other end behind the dash to install a brake controller (that you also buy).

On my 2023 Palisade (and apparently on others who have posted on this site) there is no connecting cable coming off the brake harness that is " accessible from under the car near the rear bumper" on the driver side which is viewable when you remove the cover by removing the snap plugs and the two plastic nuts.

Even if you buy the wire harness there is nothing to it plug into.

Where is that documented? Hyundai Customer Service doesn't know about, my dealer doesn't know about it. I guess talked to the wrong people. Can you provide any additional info about accessing the connecter

On the matter of taking legal action, I'd have to devote my retirement to taking wrong doers to court. There are just TOO many of them now. And no, I won't get into the collapse of our society in this post you'll be glad to hear.

They are looking into it. The only inclusion is the Tow button which does work. There is no wiring despite what some people think

Well I've had both Action Car and Truck and Hyundai Service confirm this to be true. Not sure why some people dispute this unless some cars have and some don't. I really doubt that Hyundai is THAT bad....

I have checked different publication and sites and even the Hyundai Palisade broucher and tha all say that it is pre wired.
Yet there seems to be a lot of confusion about whether the 2023 Hyundai Palisades are pre wired or not. some say yes and the connector is maybe located in the bumper, other say it is located on the wire harness like in other years and then there are people who say it is not pre wired. All I know it isn't located where it has previously been located and I can’t get an official answer as to where it is. I do not want to have this site to become an emotional sounding board but I think Hyundai is THAT bad for not getting the word out as to whether there is a connector or not and if there is one where is it located.

How did you remove the rear panel I removed the screws and the panel is in there. Like you I don't want to break anything. I did not remove the jack is there anything in back of it?

I took the jack and tools out. Then just lift straight up. There are two clips, one each side at the back. You don't release them, just pull straight up. Note that the lid is part of it.

Did you order the wire harness from Canada( Part # S8F67 AC800 0 How did it turn out?

does the harness (S8F67AC800 ) come with a 7 pin round female receptical or with a flat 4 pin ?
