Cross Climate 2's are excellent tires. They are very quiet and grippy for an all season tire. If you live where snow is heavy, you may look for an actual snow tire. Tire rack offers lots of choices with reviews.

Michelin Cross Climate seem to be one of the better winter tire options at the moment. I'm still shopping around and looking at other tire brands models.

Hoping to get some recommendations on what specific tires to get. Feel free to include wheel as well since I will likely go with a dedicated wheel/tire combo and leave my all-season set as is.

I live in Upstate NY And our average is roughly 120” of snow a year which usually comes in 4-10” events. The Bridgestone Blizzaks are very popular. I had some Yomitomo Ice Edges on my Equinox. That thing could climb a wall with those on. Unfortunately they won’t fit on my 20” wheels, so based on price and availability, I’m going with Toyo’s this year. You better at least have some in your possession now. You know…supply chain and all that.

Blizzak is the grippiest dedicated winter tire. It's loud and not as fuel efficient.
Michelin is quieter, better mpg, but it's not as grippy as Blizzak, especially on iced roads.

I purchased Crossclimate 2s last January and I have to say the snow traction is outstanding!

As noted in earlier posts, the OEM Hancook ‘all seasons’ are embarrassing in even light snow of 2 inches or less. With the Crossclimate 2s I was able to comfortably drive through 12+ inches of powder snow with no drama!

I was even able to drive into our backyard (up a 7% grade) with 10+ inches of snow with ease! Plenty of incredible videos on YouTube regarding CC2 snow traction.

I got the x ice. I find them pretty grippy and quiet. Would love to try cross climate but my insurance provider doesn't consider that as "winter tires" so I won't get the winter tires discount

Completely agree with you and with another poster. Micheline X-Ice dedicated winter tire is way better than that "jack of all trades, master of none" cross climate. Especially if OP is going for a separate set - why settle on mediocre when you can have dedicated winter tire? Especially one of the best like Micheline X-Ice

Happy with my Michelin X-Ice. Used them in the past on a previous vehicle so they were an obvious choice for my Palisade. Bridgestone Blizzak rate slightly better but are noisier and won't last quite as long.

Looking at Continental Cross contact Sport for myself based on having Continentals on my other vehicle. Definitely not going with Bridgestone Dueler which is what I have now. Researching on Tirerack.com the Bridgestone is not a choice for winter driving,
