If I remote start via the key or app, then start loading my kid in the rear, it will shut off. I didn't see anything about this in the manual, just that it would shut off if a door opens from inside.

So u can set the remote start Engine Time on the Hyundai Bluelink App. I tested with adjusted times for 7 mins and 2 mins via the app, car shut off at the 2 min and 7 min mark. Then I tried it with the Key FOB and SUCCESSSSS. You need to adjust the engine time via Hyundai Bluelink APP.. Hopes this helps. We get bluelink for free for 3 yrs.
