Does anyone know why there is a vent next to the headlight? It looks as if it exhausts in the wheel well. I thought LED lights were cool running.

They are to funnel cooler air to the brakes
Close, but not quite. The primary purpose of those vents is to prevent the wheel well from being a low pressure area and acting as a parachute. They keep the airflow around the wheel well closer to laminar, reducing turbulence and increasing fuel efficiency. More airflow in there does help with the brakes, but they aren't ducted to the inside of the wheels as would be needed for a primary focus on cooling the brakes.

I have noticed vents on various sports cars and exotics, but not on mainstream vehicles Venting to the wheel well. Thanks for the info.
