Driving over the mountains at Christmas time, Highway Patrol demands we carry traction devices. Are any recommended for our 2020 all wheel drive Palisades?
If so, would they go on all 4 wheels or just the front or not at all?
Any set of chains that fit your tire size will do just fine. You only need one set for the primary drive wheels, which are the front wheels for the Palisade, even if you have all wheel drive.
In my local mountains tire chains are required to be in the vehicle October-May even if it isn't snowing, though I've never met a soul who has been ticketed for not carrying a set in the dry. Also, if your vehicle is AWD/4WD with snow rated tires (M+S designation on the tire sidewall) you are not required to drive with the tire chains installed, but they still must be in the vehicle. Your county/state may have different laws regarding this.
