Does the tailgate automatically open when you approach the rear?
If equipped, yes. It's not a standard feature, except on the limited. But you can get it via options packages on other trim levels.Does the tailgate automatically open when you approach the rear?
Thanks, I have the Limited. (My Santa Fe beeps when I stand behind the vehicle then opens automatically after a few seconds, but my Palisade does not beep and so far the tailgate does not open automaticallyIf equipped, yes. It waits 3 or 4 seconds before opening, to avoid opening it when you just happen to be walking behind the car and don't actually want it to open.
You have to turn the feature on in the settings. Explore your settings menu and read the manuals. Thanks, I have the Limited. Debbie, did it work for you? Fingers crossed it did - I love this feature especially when I'm out shopping! Thanks for the input
What doesn't work for you? The automatic tailgate? It's off by default. You have to turn the feature on in your infotainment settings. Refer to the infotainment manual.I just got my palisade
And it did not work for me
Went to a couple dealerships and their service center is backed up and cant look at my car for a couple months
For some reason it only works with the key fob in my handsWhat doesn't work for you? The automatic tailgate? It's off by default. You have to turn the feature on in your infotainment settings. Refer to the infotainment manual.

Yes I have the same issue with remote startAre you standing close enough to the tailgate?
Have you tried with both keys?Yes I have the same issue with remote start
Hi there, rejoining the thread late so apologies if someone already asked. Try hitting the lock button, even if the car is already locked then hold down the remote start button until your Palisade Starts. for the tailgate, you might have to configure from your dash display. I posted the instructions above. Did you have a chance to read through? If you attempted to follow the instructions, and still not working - might be worthwhile to stop by your dealership and talk to your Sales person. They should be able to walk through the features with you, and address anything if not working correctly under warranty.I just got my palisade
