Who said anything about embarrassed, I said tacky, People change out wheels because they don't like them so what's the difference. There is always someone trying to make something out of nothing, let it go.

Wait until you try to sell or trade it in, you have put all the Hyundai stuff back. Not a fan of this stuff, bit it is his and if he likes it that is all that matters. The steering wheel emblem is big and bulky looking.

That won't hurt the resell value. I traded in a Sonata with no H anywhere on it and it didn't hurt the value at all, it's just an emblem.

While I agree it is just an emblem, I think it will depend on the dealer, and this is not a Sonata.

True the Palisade is not a Sonata as the Sonata gets luxury options before the Palisade does which is pretty bad since the Palisade is suppose to be their Flagship.

There‘s de-badging and there’s re-badging. The former, I get. The latter… well…

I would rather de-badge but then you run into the extra costs of filling holes, painting, replacing the grill in which the Calligraphy has no replacement.
