The small door that covers the rear towing eyelet screw above the tailpipe is ajar. I can snap it back into position, but even the smallest vibration will cause it to fall out of position and come ajar again. Does anybody else have this issue?

Good question! No tab broken. Door snaps into place just fine. However, it would appear that the capture methodology of the door/tabs just “ barely “ holds it in place, and will pop out of position with even the slightest vibration. Wondering if this is unique to my 2022, or if this is a design issue common to other’s Palisades.

That is a reasonable patch/repair. I’ll bet some clear silicone caulk, neatly but generously applied to the door, and allowed to cure would hold it in place.
That having been said, I’m not sure that the good engineers at Hyundai had a silicone bodge-job in mind when their craftsman built this vehicle. I’m hoping that Hyundai can develop a more elegant repair, but in the meantime I am reaching out to the group to see if anybody else with 2020-2022 Palisades have experienced a similar problem.

Thanks for your suggestions and keep them coming!

14,000 miles on my 2020 and that cover has been off exactly one time, when I popped it open to look inside. Snapped the cover back in place and it hasn't moved since. Suspect yours is damaged

Thanks Popeye.
Just the other day I ran across a guy with a 2020 like yours who was experiencing the same symptoms that I have. Glad that yours is working just right.

Gene and Popeye…….I’ve brought it down to the local dealership. Upon inspection they could find no evidence of damage, broken tabs, etc. They are ordering for me a replacement door. I hope that does the trick.

thanks for the feedback. I love this forum!
