Two months after purchasing a 2023 Palisade the radio stopped working and the Home Screen flashes randomly with different screen options. Took it in was told have to bring it back for a new software download, this will take about 3 hours. Hope this is a one off and not what I have to look forward to with Hyundai…

They did that at the dealer yesterday, I also downloaded the latest and installed and there was no change. Unless you know of a newer version, what version software do you have for a 2023 Caligraphy.

Thanks

You need the newest update that has just been released. The October update is what is causing the issues.

What version do you have currently installed? It needs to have a date code of Feb 3, 2023 or later for it to be fixed. The best bet is to download today and install.
I do not see a Feb 2023 update on the Hyundai site, May 2023, and April 2023, are the only 2023 I see.
I had your same problem. I installed the new update and fixed the problem. You have nothing to lose by downloading and installing the latest update. All you need is a 64 GB flash drive.
Current update supersedes the February patch.

I said 230203 or later. The May 2023 update is the currently available version. That’s what you want at this point.
Here is what I have.
You have the October 2022 software with a date code of 11/15. It is one of the bad versions. So, yet again, I will say to update.

Just more proof that you can't always trust your dealer. I would be looking for a new dealer.

You are correct,
100% guaranteed you do not need a new head unit. You need to install the latest software. Have you actually done that? That’s what you want to do, and your problem will be fixed.
Yes it fixes it no unit needed back to normal

For sure, I took a 2004 Explorer in for preventive maintenance and they forgot to add gearlube to the diff. They denied it and it cost me $1700. Dealers hire for cheap and that’s what you get so I switched over to a family run mechanical shop. This is their life and don’t want to make costly mistakes
+1 the May 2023 update fixed the radio not working in my 23 Calligraphy. I previously had the Oct 22 software version too. We barely even use the radio, only noticed it stopped working 3 weeks ago when we travelled back home to visit my mom and I randomly wanted to listen to the good local classic rock channel. Overall, took about 2.5 hours total to download the software, download the 22GB software update, transfer it to a USB key, and then about an hour for the car to update itself.
