Can't find any information on the factory system but there are some details on the optional premium system from Infinity. It has two special features which will help to optimize your listening experience. This includes Clari-Fi and QuantumLogic sound tech. The former rebuilds audio lost during digital compression and the second creates a 'multidimensional soundstage.'

If its similar to the optional Technology Package on the Santa Fe, that would mean a 12 speaker, 550 watt system. I've heard really good things about this premium system in older Hyundai models, it'll be a worthwhile upgrade for audiophiles. Older tracks should sound even better with that new Clari-Fi tech.

I found that improving on sound deadening goes a long way and is one overlooked area.

A lot of the time factory systems are held back simply by a lack of power. You'd be surprised how much better they sound with a small aftermarket amplifier.

I have seen that in some cases but its done for good reasons. If that's how a sound engineer figured its optimized then so be it. I like to build on that with improved sound proofing before making any other moves.

I believe the Limited has a Harmon-Karden audio system.

It is a Harmon-Karden and it sounds good but turns to IMHO great when you select the "surround" option buried in the infotainment manuals. Incredible feeling of immersion in the sound vs. a standard left / right balance.

I know this is an old thread, but I’m curious what you mean by sound deadening.
