There are two fuel pumps, the 'normal" electric fuel pump in the tank and the high pressure fuel pump for the GDI injectors. The high pressure pump is mechanically driven by a cam shaft, if it is leaking or bypassing fuel back to the tank, it would take several revolutions of the engine to rebuild the needed pressure to fire the injectors and start the engine.

Thank you very much, is there a measue to check and diagnose it before replacement? I have no error codes apart from catalizer malfunction
