So this seems it's only for leather interiors. Haven't seen any posts about fabric interiors with the odor issue.

I was chatting with an owner like me who has a "garlic breath" like smell in his Palisade when the car is parked with the windows closed and he suggested we try to get a count of the folks on this forum who are in our same situation and still having the issue. I know there have been other threads on this in the past, but I'd like to take a current pulse of the forum. Please reply to this thread if you have a Limited with the Beige interior and have the foul odor problem. Thanks!

I have a the same interior and the same smelly issues. It takes my breath away and at times seems toxic. I’m so disappointed.

I'm interested to hear from those that have later 2020 builds to see if the issue is less prevalent or gone in the later builds... Really curious if anyone with a 2021 has the smell issue.

your owners need to start a class action lawsuit. Found this on Rob Stumpf if you haven't gotten a whiff of what's brewing down at Hyundai headquarters, there's a something a bit, erm... unpleasant about the way the new Hyundai Palisade smells inside after a few thousand miles. For months, a number of owners of the South Korean marque’s flagship SUV have been playing a prolonged game of “who farted?” in an attempt to identify an awful, unidentified odor in the cabin, described as a pungent mix of old produce and used socks that gets worse in hot weather.
But relief is in sight. The Drive can now report that Hyundai has finally admitted it's the one that dealt it. Trouble is, the automaker doesn't know exactly what "it" is, at the moment.
"We are aware of the concern and are currently in the midst of the investigation, which includes identifying and validating a fix." Hyundai said in a statement to The Drive. "Once a repair method is confirmed effective a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) will be released to provide direction to our dealer body on how to resolve the concern."
Translation: Yes, we know our crossover smells, but we're not sure why yet. You can bet Hyundai is now working diligently to determine just that. Members of the Palisade community appear be pointing fingers at the premium Nappa leather seat material, as cloth-seat models are seemingly stink-free, while the headrests have also been blamed by some. Then again, the initial Cars.com report that prompted our story found the smell seemed to come from inside the seatback itself.
Whatever the source, lowering the windows and hoping for it to go away doesn't seem to work, so affected owners will have to wait until that dealer fix is ready. In the meantime, at least it's not cold out yet?

Calligraphy owner (2021) with beige leather interior here. Luckily no smell issues so far, but has been only 2 weeks. Fingers crossed the smell issue doesn't come up with hotter weather. EDIT: My vehicle build date is Jun 2020.

We bought our Limited with beige interior a month ago and the smell is overwhelming. I didn’t notice it the day we bought it, but within a couple days it was bad. Air fresheners don’t help. It smells like sour food. It just won’t go away.

I wouldn't be worried. I enjoy the car. 20 dollar auto vaccine from amazon fixed my smell issues even though it was faint.

I just picked up my 2021 Palisade Limited (light Nappa Leather) Friday. The smell is horrendous! I had no idea until after we bought the car that this was even an issue.

I thought the smell was coming from the third row seats after having my grandkids sitting back there. Surprised to find so many have the same issue. How do you register a complaint?

Yes, we've had our Palisade for over a month and the garlic smell is still there (I was hoping it would go away with a bit of time). It is much worse when sitting in the sun.

2020 Palisade Limited Beige Leather. Took delivery in February 2020. The smell is horrendous. Started a case with Hyundai...don't think it will get resolved.

Picked up our 2021 Limited on Monday. I have not noticed any such smell and I'm now worried that this is inevitable. Time will tell.
