This is my fourth day. My ergo button is broken and my windows hazy. I am going to see dealer this afternoon. I have no idea this kind of windows can pass through QC.

Does your SEL have the premium package?
Yes. Again, maybe I just got lucky but I have no issues whatsoever.

I went to service the other day. They reported to their director for the case and they carefully cleaned my windows and took pictures. They said they will report to Hyundai USA for investigation. That’s all I got. It seems they have no idea how to deal with it.
Thanks for the update. At least your dealer acknowledged the problem. Mine didn't. I had to press them in order to get them to order new windows.

Thanks for the reply. So the issue seems to be hit and miss.

Looks like it. Looks like I got lucky. Hope you guys are getting this fixed. My wife loves the car and so far I do as well for as long as I drive it.
I have the 2nd row hazy windows which when i was originally at the dealer before buying i figured they were just dirty and i'd clean them at home. that was not the case and i then i found out this is more common so i brought it to the dealership to which i was told that the windows are not covered under warranty. i said clearly these are defective and present a safety hazard if it's ever sunny and it hits the window i need to look out of and i'm having trouble looking out the window.

they saw the issue and took photos, but came back and still told me that they're not covered under warranty and since they've never had this issue it won't be covered, i'm livid at this moment and not sure what to do. i opened a case with hyundai customer care but i'm curious what are others doing to resolve this?

I filed with NHTSA as recommended by others as I assume the more who complain about it the quicker something will be done. - Report a Safety Problem | NHTSA

Nice idea. What to write to complain safety issue?

There’s a wiper/visibility option to check and I just gave detail to how it looks with photos and how it presents a safety issue during certain daylight conditions.

Not being covered under warranty is concerning. My dealer ordered new windows for me which I assumed were covered. I'm calling them first thing in the morning to confirm.
Thanks for the heads up.

Warranty should not have anything to do with this. It’s a defective part that can cause accidents. It’s not safe to drive. Should be a recall. why would they talk about warranty? Defective parts from factory should be automatically replaced/fixed.
Manufacturers often try to cover up what should be recall with a TSB or fixing under warranty. It makes their cars look better.
This appears to be a TSB for a range of 2020 models. I suspect latter years already have this pad installed during production.

Fair point. I'll hold off on calling and just wait to see how it's handled once they are in.
Before allowing them to install the new windows I'll verify that they are in fact acoustic laminated and free of haze. If they don't tick both boxes, there is no reason for them to be installed.
The front windows are acoustic. Why does only the rear windows get haze?

What is an ergo button? Is this new for ‘23?

We think but can't prove it's the combination of acoustic lamination and factory tint that is causing the issue.
The 2023 SEL w/Premium, Limited, and Caligraphy all have acoustic laminated front, 1st row, and 2nd row glass. The difference being the 2nd row also has factory tint.
The 3rd row and rear window have factory tint but no acoustic lamination and they are not hazy.

I would call them and make sure you're not being charged for the work or material before anything. I'd even go as far as going in and getting something in writing.

The front and middle windows are acoustic but the middle windows are tinted. That's why the front and rear look fine because they don't have the combination of both laminate acoustic + tint.

I’ve had my front windows tinted. They look fine. Just the rears that have that haze going on.
