Does anyone have a good solution for protecting the sides of the rear cargo area while moving some boxes and furniture? I am currently using a moving blanket to cover the boxes. any other solution that has worked for anyone? Specifically to protect the sides. I already have the cargo mat in the back.

Thanks!

I have owned the Palisade since October 2020 and purchased a SUV pet cargo liner for the purposes you mention. This is my 1st SUV and was undecided about the best option. Typical cargo liners are fine for protecting the bed however don’t provide protection to the sides as you mention. The liner I purchased extends up the wall by about 6 inches. Some liners go up the wall further. These types of liners are very easy to remove. For me it’s fitting the purpose so far. For furniture I would definitely follow Gmem‘s advice. I am interested to see if other forum members have come up with other approaches. Definitely don’t want to cause damage in the cargo area.

I would wrap the furniture in moving blankets and tape it up securly with packing tape.
I'm thinking of items like boxes or random things that will scrape or poke the sides. Some kind of stiff cloth hanging or propped up on the sides would be good.
Maybe I'll make some kind of pvc pipe frame, wrap it in a moving blanket, tape it together and just slide those in when needed.
