FWIW - I had updated on 10/25/22 when the last update was released. I reviewed the release notes against my installed software version, and the date code in the SW version and Map version for this latest re-release for my installation was different than the current file I had previously installed. I went ahead and re-updated (took about 60 minutes). Release notes appeared the same.
Map update - Oct. 25 including for 2023 models - Out now!

It's the same update, nothing changed.
Just look on the website, it shows you all the new stuff...
I updated my 2020 SEL yesterday and while doing so noticed that this update says that you can shut the engine off and it will continue the update. So after starting the update with the engine running I then shut it off. I then hit ignition button once to go to Access mode and the radio came on and it was blasting...very loud. Hit the start button again with foot off the brake and the radio was still on with no volume or off control. I started the engine and same issue. So I drove around for about 15 minutes with the radio blasting until it finally shut off when the update completed. Has anyone else experienced this?

Nope.. When you shut off the engine don't put it in acc mode... Just shut it off and walk away, in about an hour you'll receive a text letting you know it's done.
Not with the last two.. You can do it with the vehicle completely off.. Remember, the website also states you need a 32gb usb stick which we know is not true anymore...
The notice on the screen (attached) doesn't specify that. Even shutting the engine off and then restarting didn't turn off the radio nor did the power/volume button for the radio. Next upgrade in 3-6 months will probably be different again.
How far behind on updates are you? The new message for the last 2 updates say you can turn off the vehicle. It also does not say to shut off and then put in acc mode...
Updates were up to date. It doesn't say not to either.

I updated mine today, 23 calligraphy and it gave me the option to update now, the engine was running, or when i turn off the car and i chose when turn off the car. Once off it will give you the option to update now or later and i chose now, left the car and locked the door and within 45 minutes or so i got blue link notice that the update is complete.
Turned the switch to ACC and got new software update is installed message. Unplugged the usb drive and turned the car off.

Mine did
Did my update yesterday. Was also provided option to turn car off and around 45 min later came back to car and it was done. Super simple. 22 model here…..only complaint was that the maps didn’t update or if they did it still didn’t pull in my street even though it’s 3 years old.
Everything was like I left it.

Could someone tell me how many files are in their download folder? I've read there should be 19, but I'm only seeing 17 and the update has failed multiple times, stating that the "update files are corrupted download the update files again." I've re-downloaded the update multiple times with the same result.

Have you tried a different USB stick? Is it 64gb?

Yes. I purchased a new 64gb flash drive in an attempt to remedy this, but have been unsuccessful. Can someone double check the files that they've downloaded?
The update initializes just fine, but once it "prepares to update," I get the error message stating that files are corrupted.
