Mapnsoft posted an FAQ for the new map update, coming on October 25:
https://www.mapnsoft.com/hyundai/customer/account/login/#faq

No word on what the changes are, but they do list the 2023 Palisade.

They say this update is v16.5 (that number has nothing to do with the one seen on the infotainment system).

EDIT: it's now out.

How do I go about loading it? I’m new to a lot of this having just switched from a 2011 Sate Fe.
You buy a 64GB USB flash drive if you don't already have one.
You wait until Oct. 26.
On that day, you’ll then have to go to update.hyundai.com and download the "updater", which is an application you install on your computer. That application downloads the update files for you and will copy them to the USB drive.
You plug the USB drive in your car and let the update take place. If your software is new enough, it will offer to install without the engine running. I would choose that option. If it offers a "quick update", pick that one as it is much faster.

I just uploaded the Map software available on 10/20/22 not knowing this update was comming. I chose the 'Quick Update" also engine running and it took about 50 minutes. There are 5 sequences to the update and it counts them down as you go through the steps. I took my eyes off the progress for a few minutes and it looped back through the download for another 50 minutes. There is a screen that pops up after it loads and restarts that recognizes the USB still in the port and says do you want to update and if your not there to say "NO" or pull out your stick it will do it all over again. SEE "Donaldo's" complaint at Hyundai Mapcare Software update problems: Hyundai Mapcare | Software update Problems. This new update may or may not do the same thing.
Also if you copy the files manually from your hard drive to the USB and not through the Updater program - the base directory of the USB should contain all the files (In my case 19 file) with NO directory above them- In my case strip the parent directory2020_22_Palisade_USA. No other files should be on the USB and formated exFAT in my case. System seems to work fine haven't checked out everything though.

If you were too many versions behind, the update does have to run more than once.

Kind of a jerk move for them to pre-announce the navigation system update as the 24th, then on the 24th only release the display audio update and at the last minute push the nav update to the 26th.

People already can’t seem to figure out the difference between the navigation system update and the display audio update (hint: it depends on the system you’re trying to install it on).

It wasn’t even great back in April when they released both on the same day, either. “Do I install both updates?” No. Install the one for your system.

I love that Hyundai and Kia give us the ability to download these free updates ourselves. But I really wish they’d dumb down the site even further so everyone can understand and keep the flood of exact same questions off of the forums and FB, etc.
