Having a big dilemma between a fully loaded SEL AWD (~$43k) vs Limited AWD (~$47445). Is the $4500 difference make the limited worthed ? I believe the difference are napa leather, pano moonroof, head up display ,360 viewing and the full digital cluster... any other differences ? I am really torn as what drew me to SEL is the bench seat options.. will be nice to have 8 seater options when needed. I hate that both KIA and Hyundai dont do bench seat on limited trim...

  • 630 watt Harmon Kardon premium audio with 12 speakers and QuantumLogic Surround with Clari-Fi Music Restoration Technology? (this sound system is incredible)

My thoughts from my Limited...

1. Don't EVER hurt your pocketbook for technology. If you have the money to spend freely and it improves your enjoyment go for it, but nothing in the Limited changes the ultimate usability of the vehicle.
2. The Dual Sunroof helps brighten my dark interior.
3. The Napa Leather in the Limited is very, very nice for this price and the cross hatch stitching is the classiest look in any non-luxury brand vehicle I've ever seen. Much nicer than the look of the best leather in the Telluride to me.
4. The sound system was a big surprise. It sounds great but when you turn on the "QuantumLogic Surround" its unbelievable. For once a premium speaker system actually seems premium.
5. The 12.3 Digital Display and HUD are wow features that make me feel like I own a 2020 vehicle.
6. The surround view monitor makes parking and adjusting a fairly large vehicle a trivial exercise.

After having a surround view monitor I'll never buy another vehicle without it. Use it all the time for parking. And being in hot Texas the ventilated seats are a must have, too. Throw in the better Blind View monitors and a Ltd was a no-brainer for me, even though I like the SEL's cream and blue interior more than the Ltd's cream and brown.

Moonroof is nice but the split design is disappointing compared to the large single panoramic roofs in other vehicles. But split is perhaps safer in a rollover wreck.

The Limited is worth the extra, especially if you plan keeping for more than a few years.

I just faced a similar decision and opted for the SEL with premium for $43.5K. As a family, we made the decision that the extra features were not worth the extra $4.5K and a bench seat was a must.

I could see where the captain seats only for the limited edition would be a deal breaker for you guys with kids. I wish you guys all the best, and enjoyment with your Palisade.
