I have a limited palisade about 2 weeks old and my front left driver door speakers went out on my way to work today. listening to xm radio. I used the position fader in the sound settings to move it to front left speaker and all I got was muffled sounds from both the tweeter and the in-door speaker. The system beeps and voice recognition sound still worked from the left front speakers. I turned car off and back on and still not sound as well as paper clipped the reset on the radio. Then I left the car off for about an hour and a half and upon turning the vehicle back on the front left speaker worked again for audio/sound. I'm hoping this is a software glitch and not a bad speaker wire! Of course if it was a bad speaker wire I doubt I would hear the system voice recognition "say a command or safety system beeps" out the front left speaker which I was able to in this state of radio not playing out front left speaker.

It may be just XM radio. Did you try it with another source of music? We had a similar issue with our Mazda and it only happened with XM.
I switched to FM and it happened on that too in the bad state, however I hit the voice recognition button on the steering wheel and the "say a command" came out both speakers". i tried the paper clip to reset the radio and it still happened after a reboot this was with the car powered on. However, upon turning off the car for about an hour and half the audio returned, so maybe XM put it in a bad state. I also have the problem of my xm stations either not saving or losing their preset sorted order. my guess its a software glitch?

it happened again. no front left tweeter audio when in the bad state. That includes xm,fm,am. . I took it into the dealer in the bad state, they first tried swapping twitter, no fix, then they disconnected the battery to do a hard reset and it came back. Hyundai said if happens again the amplifier should be replaced. whats interesting is the voice recognition system continues to work when its in the bad state and you can hear the say a command come out the tweeter. So perhaps the voice recognition system doesn't run though the audio amplifier.

Has the problem reoccurred??

No but I haven’t been driving the vehicle as much lately. Why do you ask have you experienced it as well?
I personally haven't, I helped a friend pick out a vehicle to replace a very unreliable pathfinder platinum with the palisade limited. He has had it for apprx 2 weeks now and yesterday experienced that same issue where the driver door speakers were all very quiet and muffled. He was not the happiest camper... and no fiddling with any settings fixed it.. The issue fixed itself this morning after being off overnight of course but not the problem free beginning of new vehicle ownership he was hoping for. Especially if he doesn't know if it will occur again and why it is doing that...

But this does possibly point to an HK AMP issue or software issue that needs the power to drain to reset itself as it seems like you and he has the same issue.. hopefully either the issue doesn't occur again (not confident about that) or hyundai will find a solution.

This happened to me today. It's only on my car phone speaker, which seems to be the left one. The "say your command" still works and radio still works. Whichever speaker rings when I make a phone call sounds busted. The last couple of weeks or so, the sound has been going in and out. I've had my car for 1 month

My front two door speakers went out on Friday. All four back zones would play, the front two would not. Turning the car on/off did not fix it. I left the car for a bit and when I left again they were on. I actually took a video of it. BUT someone rear ended me Friday morning so my car is heading in for some major repairs already. Still have paper plates on my limited baby :'(

Any of you use the remote start often from the key fob? I have twice since I bought it a few weeks ago. I noticed that each time I used that feature, the driver side speakers would go out. I tried all combinations with locking the car, restarting the car, and so on. The only remedy seems to be time, almost 3 hours or more and sometimes the next day. Anyone else noticed that pattern or is this a gremlin?

Just an update. It’s been a long while since this happened but it happened again today. I had the software upgraded about a year and a half ago and haven’t had the issue since. However it happened again yesterday. No sound out front left tweeter. Turn car off and back on still no sound. Turn car off long enough for power to drain from radio/amp/computer etc works again. Ie long enough that if you had the rear ac on it would be off upon starting car again. In my case I just parked it at home and the next day when I took it for a ride it was fine again

truly believe it’s some software bug that puts it in a bad state.
