Isn't that a switch on the left side of the dash by the steering wheel? Maybe you bumped it.
It's not a switch that I can see. I can only see it buried in the settings menu. I don't have a physical button for it. I DO have lane-keep assist, but that's a different thing.Isn't that a switch on the left side of the dash by the steering wheel? Maybe you bumped it.
Are you on an HDA road? As in, you see the HDA icon on the dash? Lane change assist only works on HDA roads, which are typically divided highways.I upgraded my car's software to the latest version a couple of weeks ago. I'm not 100% certain that's relevant, but I've been missing lane change assist since then. I have the option to turn it on in settings, but the icon never appears while I'm driving with cruise control anymore, and the car will not change lanes on its own anymore. I used this feature a lot since buying the car, so I definitely know how to use it. I've changed nothing else. It just disappeared.
Any thoughts?
It is definitely turned on in settings, and I only use it on the interstate, on the same stretches where I have always used it. The icon does not show up on the dash at all anymore. Nothing has changed except the software update I did.Are you on an HDA road? As in, you see the HDA icon on the dash? Lane change assist only works on HDA roads, which are typically divided highways. I assumed you've made sure that the feature is still enabled in the settings? Is HDA altogether enabled? Some software updates have turned things on and off at random in the past (like CarPlay/Android Auto or split-screen CarPlay/Android Auto). So I would double-check your settings.
So is it just lane change assist, or HDA altogether that is no longer working? HDA relies on the map database, so if all of HDA isn‘t working at all, I would do what @Mickey suggested above and re-download the update. It is definitely turned on in settings, and I only use it on the interstate, on the same stretches where I have always used it. Lane keep doesn't require HDA. Lane change does. I was asking whether HDA was working at all. As in, do you see the letters HDA on your cluster on divided highways where you know for a fact that this worked before the update.Lane-keep works, but lane-change is MIA. I'll re-do the software update this week and see if that does it.
Nope. The dash icon has vanished.Lane keep doesn't require HDA. Lane change does. I was asking whether HDA was working at all. As in, do you see the letters HDA on your cluster on divided highways where you know for a fact that this worked before the update. But certainly, do the update again and see what happens.
Definitely sounds like your update may have screwed something up with the map database. Have you tried using the nav since the update? I wonder if it even works...Nope. The dash icon has vanished.
Try re-downloading the software via the updater. Particularly since they re-released it a few days ago.Update: I tried reinstalling the software but my car will not let me. It says the update is incompatible with my car, even though it is the software I downloaded through the updater app. I tried twice and it failed both times. It’s almost time for my first service anyway, but it’ll be two months before the dealers next service appointment.
I did twice. No-go. Meh.Try re-downloading the software via the updater. Particularly since they re-released it a few days ago.
Don't know what to tell you then. The error you see is a little strange; I thought it would let you re-apply the update, but I don't honestly remember - not something I try.I did twice. No-go. Meh.
I know it's supposed to, but it's failed several times. I've downloaded the update from the Nav Updater app, but the car keeps saying the update is incompatible. I am currently re-downloading it again after several days to see if anything's changed. I talked to the dealer service today and they said they've had several reports of very weird software issues lately. Fingers crossed today is my lucky day...It does let you reapply the update. It's how I fixed the radio problem with the October 2022 update. I downloaded the February patch update in early April and the car said you already have this version would you like to reinstall
Just failed again. This is what pops up a few seconds after hitting the update button. And yes, I’m sure I’m downloading the right software. I’m using the Nav Updater software on my Mac to create the thumb drive.I know it's supposed to, but it's failed several times.
