So today I had my first panic moment with my 2022 Palisade (Essential trim) when it failed to unlock.
. I vaguely recalled reading something about using the key to manually unlock which.. after some frustration worked. Setting off the car alarm creating panic #2.
After settling down, and in the car the remote lock/unlock seemed to work and when I got home, with windows open (just in case) everything seems to work as it should. BUT, now I am worried this may happen again.
My key fob has the attached key, needed to start the car (cheap trim level). I am assuming the battery may be weak (fingers crossed). Anyone with a link on how to open the key fob for the “key” version? Any video/instructions seem to deal with the keyless models. The manual even has one diagram of screws that need removing. Then, there seems to be various processes to re-calibrate once the battery has been replaced.. All very confusing
If, it’s not the battery.. this a warranty item? 15 months 28,000 km.
Any thoughts.. suggestion.. similar experiences
