I assume you shopped other options ... curious as to what features of the Palisade helped you to make your decision? Also, I love the color combo that you have chosen ... classy!
I got mine in white with light interior and it’s gorgeous! Everyone comments about the color combo and I’ve had a few sales people say they don’t normally like light interior, but this one looks amazing! You won’t be disappointed ?
Thx guys for the comments. Estimated delivery 1-2 months but in the meantime my dealer will continually check other dealers arrivals as they sometimes trade with each other.Immediately sold my 15 year old Pathfinder to my yard guy so no advertising hassles at all.
My dealer told me they make them in batches, in other words all black for maybe a few hundred at a time and then they'll probably switch to beige. Sounds logical but I have no idea if it's what really happens.As for your $2K deposit, that seems high as my dealer wanted only $500. However, I don't know if he actually ordered one or if he's betting on a dealer trade in the near future. Too bad this is such a hassle for us.
I definitely don’t understand why Hyundai made so many of the dark colors and not the light colors. Finding a Limited white with beige interior was a challenge for us too! And many of the dealerships told me they could see all the other dealerships’ inventory in the area and no one else had one and then I found two others that did. They lie to try to keep your business if they don’t have what you need or maybe even to upsale you because you get the impression it’s so rare and if they do come across one you better act quickly for whatever price. It’s sales tactics. Definitely contact some other dealerships and that will give you leverage. I had several that told me they couldn’t do this or that and that other dealerships wouldn’t be able to either and then other dealerships were able to. I really don’t understand why they can’t special order you one because I just had a dealership tell me they could. I do think you’re getting the run around on that one. This is the part of car shopping that’s miserable. My empathy is with you, as I just went through all that BS for the last 6 weeks! And yes, $2000 is high. I dealt with several dealerships that only wanted $500 as a deposit. Out of curiosity, would you feel comfortable sharing who your dealership is?
We could have done 500 down and I’m kicking myself now for doing 2000. We’re going to be buying all of it non-financed so I thought 2000 on our credit card was better since we get great benefits from using it. At first they were looking at getting us a white/beige but by the time they did it was already sold. After following the Telluride sales the past few months I figured this would be the case. I guess I’ll just be patient and see what happens since we got a really decent offer for both our trade-in and the palisade.
