Putting in the new battery fixed the issue as once a battery falls to a certain voltage the feature stops working. The new battery reactivated the feature when they disconnected the old battery. Also having the A/C on full deactivates the feature as certain requirements must be met for the feature to operate, it's all in the manual.

 

Thanks, but I doubt my battery was bad when I purchased it from the dealer in July 2023 with just 12,000 miles on it. ISG wasn’t working then. The battery failed at 40,000 miles which is when I replaced it.
I just discovered a product to stop ISG and I’m now wondering if previous owner installed an auto stop eliminator from autostopeliminator.com . I am now sort of answering my own question but I may need to just reprogram it as shown in their videos. I’ll report back

There are many prerequisites including certain battery level, etc

My stop and go quit working. Everything else seemed fine. Dealer did various troubleshooting then tested the battery with whatever they use and it failed certain tests. They replaced it and ISG started working.

 

If auto start/stop stops working, that is usually a warning that the battery is weak and needs replaced.

 

My Palisade is from Korea and when I push break softly, ISG is indicated only in white color and did not shut down the engine. But in this case if I push the pedal a little bit harder the lamp change to green and the engine stop.

 

It's the same on US cars.

 

If you keep the climate fan on a higher setting stop and go won’t function. When I lived in AZ it usually was on high in auto mode, now that I live in a cooler climate I do it on purpose
