I would say no... only because, running boards are only good if they tuck under automatically. They become awfully dangerous if you step out on to them during a rain or snow storm. Trust me, I landed flat on my back in a Target parking lot one winter during an ice storm. Additionally, if it's a rainy day, you will pick up mud on your slacks when you exit the car. Often times the back of the leg brushes against the running guard when you exit the vehicle. just my 2 cents...
