Demand for Hyundai's new flagship SUV has been so strong in its domestic market, that the Korean automaker has announced they will be increasing production numbers. Prior to its release in Korea, it saw 20,000 pre-orders and has sold close to 55,000 units up until last month. As of now only 20,000 have been delivered but Hyundai will be increasing overall production volume by 40%.

Good to know this is happening.
What do you think the odds are this means we'll see Hyundai offer more in the Palisade? I don't think looking at internal numbers are the answer. The sheer sales from SUV overall should be enough for Hyundai to make that call.

Sales should be strong enough in NA, with many current Santa Fe owners looking to upgrade. Sharing so much of its DNA with the Telluride may make the decision one based on badge preference however.

Just about everything someone can ask for in an SUV is offered in the Palisade and its upcoming Telluride sibling. Not to mention reliability and servicing is the best yet. Korean automakers are viewed in the most positive light an automaker can these days.
