This has never worked for me. I set it up in the showroom while waiting for the paperwork to be finished. Every time I use the app on my iPhone, I get an error message and am asked to try again later or call support. It never works and very time I call support I am told there is a 30 minute wait. I don’t have the patience to wait that long. Anyone else have a similar problem?
thanks.

What trim level do you have? There's been several people with SE and SELs without drive guidance that have had similar issues... because their car isn't equipped with bluelink.

Bluelink is pretty good to have especially if you use Google assistant or Alexa. Dont have to look for my phone and just tell the to start the car.

I would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Or try it on someone else phone to see if that'll work.

Does your SEL have Premium and Drivers Guide package 10 inch screen [built in navigation]? If it does you may need to go to the dealer as there is no logical reason it should not work if your an area with Verizon reception. Maybe Shark Finn Antenna not hooked up correctly ?

Different issue.... not sure where to post the problem but when I turn on my heater with blue link and choose the "defrost" option, the a/c button turns on and it blows cool air.

Turning AC on is normal in modern cars and it's in the manual. It's for defogging and humidity control. All my cars turn AC On in winter when in Auto. But if it blows cold air forever and never warms up even though your temp setting is high then yes that's an issue. But honestly manual states the AC light will be on when in defrost mode and Auto and it recommends you turn AC on in those conditions too.

Will it get warm enough to defrost my windshield?

I would hope so. To be truthful, don't equate AC to also cold air in the summer, it's just conditioned air and it helps defog and remove humidity too. This is why modern cars, you'll see the AC on when in Auto. But yes it should be blowing warm air too but obviously if it's really cold out, this car also takes a while to warm up and it's blowing on a very cold windshield. But I am curious what temp setting you are seeing?
