I installed eTrailer hitch #E95ZR on my 2023 Hyundai Palisade SEL over the weekend and it went smoothly. The hitch is well made, instructions were easy to follow, and all of the parts fit. I am very pleased with the results. I plan to tow a 17' Casita travel trailer with it. I have ordered the 7-pin wiring harness #S8F67AC800 from Hyundai Parts Pro in Thornhill, Ontario and I expect delivery in a few weeks.

Has anyone installed a "plug and play" brake controller that they recommend? It is my understanding that the connection is behind the fuse panel door on the driver's side. The Casita is a single axel trailer, and I would prefer a proportional controller. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Nice. Mind that because the hitch is quite low it will drag on occasion.. and your anti rattle clip will hit first. Smearing the threads on the "U" bolt, (possibly bending it) and thus the nuts will no longer come off. Probably no big deal as it will still be possible to remove it just by loosening it..
For some "strange" reason there is only one horizontal bolt on the passenger side. There is a hole in the frame but not in the hitch itself. Seems to be by design but still ????
Just finished installing a U haul trailer hitch (draw tite) part # 76420 on my 23 SEL,with my daughters boyfriend. I called Horizon Global to verify it fit my 2023 .
Hardest part was removing rubber grommets form muffler. Took about 1 hr start to finish, backed up onto ramps ,gave us a little extra room to move around.
After torqueing all the fastener, fit really good. Didn't have to cut any lower fascia, or do cutouts on driver side trim panel.
Just reversed bolts on frame. Put hex nut to the inside went a lot easier.
Now just waiting for wire harness and we're ready for trailering.
Yes, removing the rubber grommet behind the pass side rear wheel almost did me in. Ended up removing the wheel.. which made it a lot easier. Hardest part of the whole job, and I had no helpers, or ramp
Well...installed my hitch this weekend and it went well. Further news....the stupid wiring harness update is now another 4 weeks from today...April 17th...this is going to ruin my summer camping with my camper...Is there another alternative that anyone knows that will work??..I need a 7 pin for my electric brakes on the camper.
Some time ago there was something about a gadget that clamped on to various wires.. sensed power and provided trailer signals. Was expensive as I recall and a clever use of technology.. but that is all I remember about it, sorry.
Fraid you are stuck with what you had on your 2022.. in fact you could take it off and re use it on your 23. Gonna be just the same.. unless you wait forever for the OEM that was promised but never materialized hitch. Your wiring harness is your biggest problem.
