it's a cutout in the projector shielding, it is designed to prevent blinding oncoming drivers. all projector headlights have some type of cutoff line for this, Hyundai did it a bit different than just a straight line allowing for more light to the left but prevent blinding oncoming trafficDo you guys know what causes the V notch? It makes me crazy.
most are like this:
Hyundai does it with the V, allowing the light from the left side to come back up to the same level as the right side with the notch preventing the light from going into the windshield of oncoming traffic.
