Just finished the install of a factory OEM Telluride hitch on my 2023 Palisade XRT. Turned out even better than expected. Still waiting for my Hyundai wiring harness from Parts Pro in Canada. I had to trim the removable panel which was the hardest part. Made a cardboard template then transfered

to the panel and cut with a jigsaw. I think this is the intent of a factory hitch….not to look like it was added as an after thought.

Thanks! I kind of think so too! I was pretty meticulous on the trimming and wanted it to appear as if it came on the vehicle (like it was suppose to!). The OE Telluride hitch fit perfectly! My Palisade is also a 23' Hyper White with 150 miles on it. :)

very nice! where did you get the hitch?
Bought new on EBay for $300 including shipping. KIA PN S9F61-AU000 The KIA Telluride and Hyundai Palisade share the same chassis.

there wasnt any spaces and it fit correctly? i thought i read somewhere that it wasnt an exact fit
It was an exact fit, no issues what so ever. The two chassis are identical, wiring harnesses are different.

Yes. It came with all the hardware, draw bar and the hitch cover. It did not have instructions but there is a YouTube video of a guy installing one on his KIA Telluride that provided instructions and all proper torque settings. I also found the paper instructions on the Hyundai Palisade Forum, but never used them.

Buying and installing the Telluride hitch was the easy part of the project....maybe two hours by myself, really not bad. It was making a cardboard template, transferring it to the removeable panel and then cutting the panel that took all the time. I estimate maybe 5 hours on that (mostly due to me checking my work over and over again so that I did not mess up a cut)!

ha i bet! i wish i could find a kia parts dealer that had one in stock. im asking etrailer if i could just get the hardware from one of their palisade hitches, that would work with the factory ones as well i would think..

just prefer one that doesnt ride so low..

Installing one of those would definitely made life easier. I just did not want to see that 2' of black trailer hitch running under my bumper. I did not want it to look like an after thought...that's all.

i get that. but thats the oem factory hitch for the palisade. im surprised the kia one worked. i thought eventually you could get the panel with the cutouts from hyundai eventually , but if thats the oem for the palisade above, there isnt such a thing. ;/

The Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade are both owned by the same company and share all their chassis between the two companies. The chassis are the same. Same brakes, same shocks, same engine, same transmission etc. I would bet money, that when Hyundai eventually releases their hitch for the 23' models, they will share the same hitch as well. I know this because they added the removeable panel that the hitch hides behind just like the Telluride. The 20-22 models did NOT have this this. Why else would the removeable panel be there? It serves no purpose other than putting a hitch behind it. In my opinion of course.
