Anyone seen anything like this (see pictures)? I've got cracks in this part adjacent to the Oil Pan. The part number, 21521-3LFA0, can't be found online.

At a quick glance, these appear to be casting defects which is quite common on casting components that see only low stress, are non-critical, and need to be low cost. I imagine the QA would be fairly minimal where some would be removed for non-invasive radiography.

I agree that aesthetically, it doesn’t look the best but it should meet expected life cycle.

Yes, likely casting defects however this part probably should have been rejected for the cracks around the screw hole.

It looks like there is some weeping from the cracks radiating from the screw hole. Almost looks like a tapered plug was tightened too much putting stress in that area.

Larry and Ralph, I believe the area both of you are referring to is part of the casting and not a fastener. I agree that it doesn’t look the best visually

That part number is for the oil pan. Hopefully your vehicle is still under warranty. I would definitely have this checked out by the dealer. It wouldn't be good if it cracked more and started to leak.
