I am not a fan of Cooper tires. Some like them because they are made in the US of A. But that is not entirely true anymore. IMO they are on the second rate side of tires.

Do you have aftermarket wheels? Most will require hub spacers to fit. These can get damaged and cause similar issues.

Could have installed them wrong. But I would think by the 2nd time they dealt with it, they would have made sure this and the above issues are resolved.

Lastly, it could be an unrelated issue entirely. Does this do it on all kinds of roads. Concrete highways are notorious for causing the sensation you are describing. Hamonic waves get hammered into the roadway, meeting your suspension cycle at the opposite pulse. Might have been coincidentally correlated with the rear shocks going bad. Which the Palisades auto level shock is known for.

I've got the 20" factory wheels. That is what i think with a 2nd pair that it has to be me. I just dont recall it being like this with the hankooks. Dealer replaced my shocks in the rear under warranty about 3 months ago. Maybe it's just me being too sensitive. I dunno anymore lol

 

I've never ran Cooper Endeavor's on the Palisade. They do seem to get decent reviews on TireRack.

Hi all
I have a 22 palisade. Got a set of cooper endeavour tires and immediately feels like i am driving on a washboard. Took it back, they replaced with cooper pro controls. Drove it for a week now and have the same issues.

Has anyone had issues with coopers on these things? It had hankook before and was smooth.

The tire place says it is how it rides and they wont replace these now. They rebalanced all the wheels and redid the alignment. All are at proper pressures.

Am i just crazy? I just dont remember it riding like this, wheel is solid and doesnt move. It just feels like a rhythmic bumping, like a washboard. No noise either.

Not a Cooper tire fan, I have a 23 Caligraphy and put new Pirelli Scorpion Plus 3on, they ride smooth and quiet.

I am a long time Michelin customer, am impressed with your Pirelli choice. Checked it out at Discount Tire and see 12/32 as the listed tread depth and good reviews.

 

Replaced my 2021 Bridgestones with Michelins last Spring. Never felt real smooth to me, so I had the dealer rebalance them using a road force balance machine. Much better, but I do notice variations in how smooth they ride based on road conditions/surface. Also, I had a 7:30 am appointment with the dealer so they would be about the first tires done that day as they’re supposed to recalibrate the machine before each days work.

I am a bit different on the experience with my tires. I had the Hancooks for about 30K miles and after reading all the reviews on Pirelli Scorpion tires thought I would give them a try. They were noisy and rode rough. The guys at Discount Tire tried to talk me into Michelin Defender 2s at first and I thought I would try Pirelli. I went back and swapped out the tires and paid a bit more for the Michelins but we are very happy with them.

I do think the insulation package in the rear of the Palisade should be improved a lot. The front is good but I get a lot of road noise coming from the rear. I have watched the threads on folks adding insulation and it seems like there are lot of issues with this on some of the panel removals with clips shearing off. UGH! I still have warranty ,so I did not want to mess this up.

As for me, I have always like Michelins ever since my dad had them on our 1971 Mercury Grand Marque Brougham and 1974 Lincoln Town Car. ( I guess I am dating myself now). Very good tires with good tread life, quiet and good handling. I also only drive the Palisade in Comfort mode. Can't attest to sport mode with these.

Not all scorpion models are great. Did you buy the a/s plus 3?
my car came with hankook Ventus noble. Crap tires, no grip in wet, noisy hot or cold.
I changed them in the first week. Extremely happy with them.
I have the defenders on my other suv. It’s a big heavy navigator that is driven a lot. Those are more highway oriented, harder compound.

 

The Nokian One is like a budget Defender version 1.5. They basically used the Defender 1 as a benchmark and improved on it when they introduced it in January 2021. Michelin then dropped the Defender 2 in September 2022 which is no doubt better.

The Nokian's however are really good and at the moment you can get a set of four for about $750 with their $200 instant rebate.

 

If you need alignments go to Firestone and get their Lifetime Alignment Deal. It costs less than two alignments and is good as long as you own the car. You can bring your car in as often as you like. I first got this when my kids were learning how to drive and hitting lots of curbs. I was taking cars in every other month back then.
