Cargo privacy screen poor design

Anyone else was forced to buy the cargo privacy screen and notice the poor design. The screen only attaches in front of the 3rd row. So if the 3rd row seats are up it's useless. When you have the captain chairs and the 3rd row seats are down there is a large gap between the seats. So whatever you have back there slides through the gap. Should have had two attachment spots so it can be used behind the 3rd row. Definitely wouldn't have purchased it if I had a choice. Especially for $190.

I know what you mean. I thought the current placement was odd too and that two attachment spots would have been a good move.
I actually purchased my screen online and paid around $145. When I purchased the car there were 2 Limited's on the lot. Both had the screen in a box in the back with one of the 3rd row seats folded down. Neither had the screen listed on their stickers but I guess I just assumed since they each had one that it came with the car. When my car was delivered it wasn't included. When I inquired I was told that it wasn't included. I said I thought that was an odd way for the factory to deliver accessories to the dealership by putting them inside new cars being delivered. The sales rep didn't have anything to say about that. You'd think after buying a $46k car they could throw in a privacy screen. Oh well live and learn I guess.
What a bummer that you had to buy it separately - you're in the USA I guess? In Canada the cargo cover and net are both listed as included in all models (listed under Interior features in the brochure) and both were included with our Ultimate. I haven't actually used it yet though. We did buy the folding cargo area tray which we like.
Folding cargo area tray??? What is that? Do you have a picture of it?
Hello. It's sort of a rubberised finish with a lip and attaches to the 3rd row seat backs so that it folds flat when you put the seats down like we'll do for our dogs. I couldn't find a direct link but here is a picture from the Hyundai Canada site, I got to it by selecting build and price and then interior accessories.

They need to sell that in the USA. Also I saw they sell a coat hanger and a multimedia attachment on the Canadian site.
They do sell that cargo tray in the US. We asked to have it added when we ordered the car.

Oh really? All I have seen is the non-foldable one that has carpet. If you find a link to that one in the USA let me know. I'll buy it.

When you go to Hyundai's US website, select build this trim (pick the trim you want), then scroll down for accessories. The cargo tray is listed for $150.

I'm pretty sure it's the same item as this: http://www.hyundaiaccessories.com/accessories/2020/palisade/s8f12-au100/

I know the picture doesn't show that, but if you look around that Hyundai Accessories website, you'll notice that there are several items where they have no picture or the wrong picture. You'll also find a carpeted cargo mat, which is non-foldable as you mention. Notice that the link I gave you is the "up seat back" one.

Hello. Yes, we picked one up one Aug 3rd (day after we bought the Palisade). They have all weather floor mats in stock as well but the price was very high so am waiting to see when 3rd party ones come out. Forgot to say: I'm in BC.

Oh ok, nice.
Yes I have the all-weather mats, they are good. I saw the 3rd row doesn't seem to have mat hooks though, so they don't stay firmly in-place as 1st & 2nd rows mats which have hooks on the floor

I too need all-weather mats, but it seems that in the US, the only current offering is a set of 4, which makes no sense. Has anyone gotten all-weather mats in the US in a quantity of 6? Weathertech is working on it, but won't have it until at least October.

Aren’t the cargo area mats reversible with a rubberized surface opposing a flocked/fuzzy side ala Genesis?

anyone has a link where to acquire this cargo tray?

As of now, that particular one is only available in Canada, for whatever reason. I think some members on here have even tried to contact dealers in Canada to see if they might ship, but they were all blown off/ignored by those dealers, so shrug.
Supposedly, Weathertech is working on the split/seat version of the cargo tray. They currently have the non-split one, which is worthless if you want to have one of your 3rd row seats down.
Same exact story here.......sadly

My dealer has this and I got them to throw it in free. It's reversible as well.
Every suv I’ve had has a Tonneau cover with these limitation. I use mine mainly to hide my clubs when I'm parked but really don’t ever need my third row, but on the weekend I need that space for the homey-do list. It’s easy for me to deal wit. But I love the WeatherTec I got!
