Moonlight Cloud was our 2nd choice. Please post some pics of it when you get it!
moonlight cloud photo dump below…

I haven’t haven’t taken any really great shots yet.

I put on winter tires today…found kia takeoffs that look half decent as I couldn’t stomach the thought of using steelies that will be rusted in a year or two.

I also had PPF installed today on the hood. Learned my lesson trying to do it myself on my wife’s Tucson 5 years ago and brought it to a professional.

Absolutely loving this thing…trying to convince my wife she really wants to drive my 18 year old Jeep Grand Cherokee and leave the Palisade for me…lol

Nice man. As I'm also part of moonlight cloud gang I still can't get over how black it looks 😂

What ppf package you go with? How much was it?

I did the hood for $250 plus tax…I’m pretty religious with doing my own car washes and ceramic coating so I felt the hood is all I need. I don’t want rock chips on my hood so the PPF is for that.

I couldn't care less about rock chips. We live in AB. That's just part of life. I won't bother with the 3M or paint protection for a family hauler.

I got the Calligraphy trim, FINALLY. Took almost 10 months from the order date. I have a suspicion that brown interior were delayed as many of us who ordered brown interior just recently got our Calligraphy trim.

Few pics:

The heads-up display is really cool. It tells you your blindspot on the display.

The steering wheel's material is so much better than my Tesla's. It feels very high-end.

The seats are really high-end and the most comfortable seats I've ever been in. Bar none. And I have a messed up back from playing sports. If you have bad back, consider getting the Palisade with the ultimate trim. Much better than the Urban seats.

I’ve spent a lot of time in AB. Always impressed by the number of cars and trucks you see with busted windshields from flying rocks there…

With a bad back, enjoy the massage seats in your calligraphy. It’s not an aggressive massage, but just perfect on a long drive. The lumbar massage is magic.

I'd be happy to answer any questions for those that are waiting.

Palisade is our family hauler and the car we take on long road trips. We're looking forward to our next one later this summer.
I'm curious if you had any shipment tracking after you received your VIN. My dealer provided me with my VIN but he doesn't have any more info about where it's now and when it's arriving.

So the last email I got was from Hyundai back in October. I didn't get anything until January saying it's shipped. Dealer called me 6 weeks later saying car had arrived but he couldn't sell it to me as it was missing a part. The part finally arrived, it got installed, and I picked it up yesterday.

Date ordered: April 22, 2022. Date picked up: Mar 9, 2023. 321 total days or almost 11 months. Damn...

When did you order yours? What trim / colour?

The Palisade is predominantly my wife's car. Both she and the kids loved the brown/cream interior. It matches well with the Black exterior.

I think the Palisade in any trim looks fantastic, and it's the best bang for the buck. We looked at many cars and chose this simply because of the value for money. It drives like it's a $100K vehicle. Very smooth.

LOL I have the opposite thinking as you, I'd rather get the front 3m done, aftermarket at least. 600$ in your town. The rocks are wild and my previous cars I cheaped out, the front got ridiculed by rocks even though it was only 5 years old at that point. Then I told myself my next car is getting 3m.

Hahah fair enough.

How long do you plan on keeping your car?

Looks like I’m the last one in this thread who is still waiting.

Got a second email from Hyundai Auto Canada yesterday saying it’s on the ship 🚢

I’m curious how long does it usually take to get to Canada? Is there any ways to track it?

Also wondering if any of you guys managed to get a window sticker? Looks like available online tools aren’t working.

@Palisade Man This picture caught my eye, I like how on this specific interior the seat base and door base are matching to seats Vs ours which the 1st picture. The base and bottom part of the door is black. Anyone know why View attachment 9050

I’m not 100% sure of this but I think the first pic is a US spec Caligraphy with beige interior while the second pic is of the Canadian spec with beige.

The US Caligraphy MSRP is roughly $54k USD with AWD plus destination. The Canadian Caligraphy with standard awd is $57k CDN plus destination. If you look at the exchange rate on the loonie, canada would be paying $70k or so, but they’re not charging that much. To bridge the price gap my assumption is that Hyundai Canada models have some slightly cheaper materials like the brown dash bezels, no third row heating, no wifi network onboard and no ability to use your phone as a key like the US models have.

It was quick. I got the email saying it was on the ship and then a week later the call came from the dealer saying it had arrived. I’m pretty sure the email from Hyundai only goes out once the ship arrives in port.
