Hi everyone,

I am new too this form, is anyone aware if the alarm sounds or a notification shows up when someone breaks the windows any of them? I know most cars didn't used to have this feature but surprised if a 2020 Palisade doesn't have it either.

I have the limited version with the tow package if that matters.

Hmmm? Unless someone in the forum has been vandalized, that might be a question best put to salesperson and dealer. I’d love to know how sensitive the alarm system is w/o having to find out the hard way, Other thoughts?

We had some serious hail the other day. The hail ended up completely destroying the panoramic sunroof, and caused about 12K in body damage. Since then, the Rear Occupancy Alert goes off....constantly. Not sure if that is just what blue link says, but, I have broken glass...and alarms.

If you have your rear occupant alert active, it is likely a glass break would trigger its ultrasonic sensor and sound the alarm.

However, if you have the rear occupant alert turned off (or have snoozed it by hitting okay when you get out of the car), then the alarm will likely act like most factory alarms. That is, as long as you have armed the car by locking it from the fob or with the button on the outside of the door, the alarm will sound only if a door is unlocked manually and opened (e.g., someone smashing a window, then opening the door from the inside).
