I had this happen to me. But I also don't drive mine daily. Do you drive yours daily?

 

I got my Palisade a few days before having a baby, so I would spend Friday to Monday at home. Then Monday would roll around and I couldn't start the car.

 

After a week at the Hyundai dealership, on Friday they said that after consulting with Hyundai Canada Engineering Department they have narrowed down the issue to be with the Body Control Module (BCM). They have ordered the part and it will be replaced on Monday, test it out to ensure that it is in fact the problem, and then return the Car latest is Tuesday. Will post update when I get Car back.

 

What was the symptoms obviously the battery died I assume but was there anything else involved.

 

Are/did they give you a loaner to use in the meantime?

 

They gave me a Kona,lol!

 

Parasitic draws killing batteries almost always boil down to a malfunctioning module. The tricky part is the diagnosis to determine which of the 30+ modules is at fault. See YouTube channel "Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics" and watch a few episodes of Ivan tracking down these tricky electronic gremlins. Dealer techs simply don't have the time or expertise to quickly find the errant module.
