2023 Trailer Hitch

I just ordered a new 2023 Calligraphy with the tow hitch. My salesman said they have a new hitch on the 2023 that is hidden behind the bumper and has a removable panel to access it. Does anyone have any pictures of it?

These photos from Danny Segal post on the FB Palisade group using the Telluride hitch on a 23 Palisade. I have the same hitch on my 23 limited. S9F61-AU000
. BTW the Stealth branded hitch setup does not allow for weight distributing hitches

where did yo get the hitch? And the stealth will do weight distributing if you get the ball attachment, just not with the receiver attachment. I had that confused also.

I purhased the Telluride hitch online. 3rd party seller on Wal-Mart had the best price I could find.

From the Stealth Hitch FAQ stating NO Weight distributing possible.

So that is the hitch for 2022 Telluride. But it fits the 23 palisade and comes out through the cutout in the rear bumper.

Yes
which facebook group. I am in one but do not see it. Did he mod the cutout to go around the parts or did the cover from a telluride fit?

Hyundai Palisade Owners on fb. He modified the original removable cover.

I have a feeling that the "official" Hyundai hitch will be a re-branded Telluride one. Based on pictures I saw a while ago about the "prototype" hitch for the 23 models.
I think in the past they used the same hitch and harness for the Telluride and the Palisade. I don't know what the deal is now. I understand they had to redo the harness, but why no hitch.

They probably figure that if they don't give you the hitch then you can't use the harness. If you have a hitch then you will need a harness and they don't want you using one.
I just picked up my 2023 XRT and already have the OEM Telluride hitch purchased and am waiting to receive my 7 pin from Hyundai of Canada. I will trim the rear removable panel until the OEM one is available similar to the Telluride. I just dislike the hitch hanging under the bumper looking like an ad on.

I am right here with you mate. And someone has to give me a really good explanation why a faulty (potential) harness box is in ANYWAY impacting the delivery of the trailer hitch.

One is not connected to the other LOL. Hell I'd be willing to go as far as 75% of trailer hitch users aren't even legally required to use a brake light/trailer brake harness. Most are using bike racks, ski racks and such. And my small trailer is WAY below the weight limit in my state requiring brake lights.

Is this what the 2023 hitch through rear bumper port will look like when they come out? Honestly, if true this isn't as clean as I expected. I'm coming from 2019 Semi Jeep GC and the hitch comes right through the bumper with a plate that covers it when not in use. It looks seamless. Like it's supposed to be there. I really hope this isn't the 2023 "solution"
It will be completely clean once Hyundai releases the trailer hitch replacement panel that will snap in around the hitch and 7 pin. The post from Danny I believe was getting all the hardware in place and then when all the components are released from Hyundai, purchase the new molded panel and snap in in place.
Over this past weekend I just put a (refundable) down payment on a Caligraphy that is estimated to come to the dealer on 8/3/22 but have been confused myself about the tow hitch on the 2023 model. My salesperson did confirm that they added a tow haul feature which I have also seen on various sites but hasn't really given me good guidance on the hitch itself. Also, from videos I have seen it looks like there is a cutout in the bumper that will be hiding the OEM tow hitch but Hyundai's website not yet updated for the 2023's with respect to accessories/tow hitches so it's not yet clear to me. I never liked the 2022 and prior models OEM hitch because of the way they protruded low and out from the bumper and had investigated the stealth hitch as well that Hybridiso commented which I also liked. However, with the change to the bumper not sure if the existing 2022 and prior Stealth hitches will work in new 2023 model and unclear to me whether the OEM tow hitch will truly be hidden. I'm a bit concerned cause I do tow a small boat during the summer months and don't want to be out of pocket if the Caligraphy does come in on 8/3 and I trade my current vehicle with a tow hitch and have not gotten either the OEM or Stealth hitch yet. So, any comments are greatly appreciated if anyone hears of anything.
I purchased my 2023 Palisade in January. It’s been 5 months and tow package still not available to order!
Has anyone tried the Curt 7 blade harness ?
