My radio stopped functioning about 4 weeks ago. I have been getting by using Android Auto and music via USB. Today was the first time I could have it looked at while the car was in for scheduled service.

They are ordering a replacement unit.

Something similar happened with our PALISADE. Did you disconnect from your android auto the proper way?

So what’s actually not working? The radio tuner? It isn’t picking up any stations, but everything else is working fine?

The radio does not work at all. I cannot tune AM,FM, or Sirius XM. I can listen to Sirius through Android Auto.

If I hit the media button while playing music from USB; the pop-up menu is dislayed. If I choose AM, FM, or Sirius it will revert back to the USB drive.

If I don't have the USB installed it immediately signs into Bluetooth seeking my phone.

The dealership tested it and verified my complaint. Initially they said that the unit needed to be replaced.

Hyundai corporate said hold on; we think it software. They want to try that first.

just had the same thing happen with my 2020 limited - AM/FM/SIRIUS stopped working. Getting it replaced as part of the warranty on Friday...no hassles. I did everything possible to check it - disconnected the battery / factory reset / re-installed NOV software update - nothing worked. Technician said he's seen a number of them fail.

The same thing happened to my 2023 the middle of last month after about 7500 miles and 6 months of working fine. The dealer tried the reset button then a capacitor discharge with the battery disconnected with no help. I have a second appointment next week for some software or firmware trys that they didnt have time for last week. I doubt they will fix it without a new radio. I know you can buy used 10 inch models use for about $800 and the 12 inch new will be a lot more. The good news is the radio has a 5 year warranty. All I know it worked in the morning on a road trip and didn't in the afternoon. I used to be an electronic tech and retired as an engineer I would love to find the fault and determine the root cause. I hope Hyundai would get Harmon to do the same.

I am having the same issue with the unit in my 2020 Limited. It started while we were traveling over the holidays. The tuner seems to still work, but you cannot enter the Radio Screens to change the station or anything. I did find that I could change the SiriusXM stations while in Apple Carplay mode, but no other time. I took it in for regular service and they attempted the SW update even though it had already been updated to most recently released version. Since nothing worked, they have ordered a new head unit. I am still waiting for it to arrive and be installed.

(Before taking it in for service, I attempted to reset the unit with the button and by disconnecting the battery. I also attempted to reload the SW. Nothing seem to work.)

Just got my new head unit installed under warranty - Service manager estimated a 2 hour job but it took the whole day - Tech said the Palisade has a complex dash to disassemble. So all stations work now...spent an hour resetting all my stations and sirius.

UPDATE 1/14/23: just got the new head unit installed - took the whole day - not the 2 hours they estimated. The Pali has a complex dash to disassemble. all stations work again including sirius - spent the last hour setting up presets though...

Good to know I'm not the only one with this issue. It's like the radio "app" is crashing repeatedly. No AM/FM/Sirius for me. I did try a factory default (do not recommend), and the reset button.
all i did was take it into my local Hyundai dealership - explained all the attempted remedies I did - service rep didn't hesitate to put an order in for a replacement head unit per the 5yr warranty on the vehicle - relatively quick and painless...of course others may have a different experience.

I think it was their first rodeo. I watched a video on the process and an hour would be more than enough. First you pop off the 2 end caps at each end of the dash. That exposes some screws for the vent trim. Then you pop off both vent trims (long one on passenger side has the start button that needs disconnecting and short one on drivers side). This exposes screws on the bottom of the glass panel. Remove the screws and pop off the glass. Now you see the 4 screws for the Radio. Remove them and slide the radio out and disconnect the 5 of 6 cables. Now you are half way done.

you may be right about that being the first one they did - they mentioned they don't see too many palisades in for that

So, did they do software update and fix it? I always have my connect to Android Auto (wireless adapter), so I would never notice the radio not working. Maybe I should switch to radio once in a while to double check that.

Me radio is now on back order which failed after 6 months. My daughter had a Subaru with a Hammond Kardon and her radio also failed after 6 months.
