I need a hitch for my 2023 Palisade. U-haul lists the Curt hitch and the Draw-tite hitch as options. It says the Draw-Tite needs to cut into the bumper. Trailer Hitches & Towing Accessories

Can anyone tell me the advantages or disadvantages of these 2 hitches and tell me which one I should get. I live in Mesa Az and I don’t want to install it myself.

They also list a Curt wiring harness. I know it’s hard to get the factory harness. Is there a downside to using the Curt harness that taps into the taillights?

If you tap into the taillights you can only install a 4 pin connector. Well you could install a 7 pin but would not have brake controller and 12V power unless you run some extra wiring. I installed a Curt. If one tells me up front you have to modify the vehicle and the other says it installs like factory, I would go with the factory. Also note that some people have installed the Telluride hitch and it fits. And sits behind the cutout in the bumper. I am considering replaceing my curt with the Telluride one.

I would go with the one that requires a cutout of the bumper, if the bumper needs cutting the hitch will likely sit higher than the one that does not need cutting. Do whatever it takes to get the hitch installed as high as possible. On my 2022 (so it's different) I needed to trim 3/4 of an inch of plastic to provide clearance.. but could. have forced it without cutting. I expect your 2023 to be somewhat similar id you are using the 21/22 style hitch.
