2020 Palisade Engine Toast???
Been burning oil since purchased it. Just finished 2 engine oil consumption tests per Lemon law and Hyundai requirements. Currently sitting at 21K miles. Been stranded twice when the check engine light came on, loss of power and extreme shaking and knocking. Standing at the rear of the car it sounds like an LS1 engine. Smoking really bad as well. Hyundai won’t deem it a loss and isn’t fixing the problem. They’ve nothing but a headache and extremely un-helpful! what the heck is going on? What should I do next?

We had the same issue and ultimately Hyundai replaced the engine.
Yes it’s still under warranty but the whole process seems to be ridiculous. We started having issues a year ago. I live 1.5 miles from work so it’s been extremely hard to complete the consumption tests. Not to mention, each time I get into the thing I’m wondering if this is when we get stranded. What we thought was the perfect family vehicle has turned into a nightmare.Isn't it still under warranty? What state do you live in?

At some point it’s time to honestly consider whether this vehicle is right for you. Is it worth all your time at the dealership and jumping through hoops just to satisfy their warranty goals?
