Driving.ca compared the Hyundai Palisade with the Buick Enclave Avenir to see how it fares against another established SUV competitor.

The long story short for those who don't watch the video is basically the Palisade does everything just as well as the Enclave while coming in at a lower price. So it's the better value SUV.

The one thing the Enclave has on the Palisade is that it's the bigger vehicle and has more storage space and room for passengers than the Palisade.

We were looking at both the Palisade 'Ultimate' and the Enclave 'Avenir', but the lack of inclusions in the Enclave was disappointing. When we added options to bring it up to the same level as the Palisade 'Ultimate' the total "drive off the lot" price, including 13% tax & licensing, was CDN$76,128.10 vs Palisade at CDN$63,541.26.

Enclave's 97.6 cubic feet vs 86.4 cubic feet offered in the Palisade was not a deal breaker. I can't explain why, but to us the Palisade has more passenger room in the 3rd row and the recline feature is a bonus. Maybe because the area behind the 3rd row is 18cuft (3 less than its Kia Telluride sibling that is not power folding nor does it recline) vs Enclave having 23.6cuft (both have hidden storage).

Another issue I had when test driving the Enclave was the dramatic glare from the sun bouncing off the very shiny chrome on the dash(see pics).
