Pricing of the 2020 Hyundai Palisade starts from $32,595 (base SE FWD) and tops out at $47,445 (Limited AWD) for now before options.

From $32,595 ($1,045 destination included) on the base SE trim you get standard FWD, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display (with Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto), advanced safety features (lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control), power folding rear seats, LED lighting and many more.

2020 Hyundai Palisade Price List
  • $31,550 - Palisade SE (FWD)
  • $33,250 - Palisade SE (AWD)
  • $33,500 - Palisade SEL (FWD)
  • $35,200 - Palisade SEL (AWD)
  • $44,700 - Palisade Limited (FWD)
  • $46,400 - Palisade Limited (AWD)
  • TBA - Palisade Ultimate (FWD)
  • TBA - Palisade Ultimate (AWD)
* Freight Charges for the 2020MY Palisade are $1,045.

As you move up the trim levels many attractive options become available like AWD, a 10.30-inch infotainment system with GPS, self-leveling rear suspension, a 12-speaker premium audio system, head-up display, heated steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, 20-inch alloys, improved interior accents and more leather coverage.

All versions of the Palisade come standard with a 291-hp 3.8-liter V6 engine and eight-speed automatic transmission.

Compared to the outgoing Hyundai Santa Fe XL it replaces, the Palisade is a bargain.

Probably because they won't use that trim level in the US. Until the full list of equipment is released, it's hard to tell whether we will actually be missing anything, or whether it will baked in the Limited trim level (or option packages).

Could you explain what the “Ultimate version” means?

Also, does anyone now if the Palisade will have the “ambient lighting” that is offered with the Telluride?

I found this video but i’m not sure if it’ll be available in the US

I'm assuming @Roush was applying Hyundai's typical trim offerings which always included Ultimate (ex. Santa Fe Limited Ultimate) to the Palisade. Looking at what Ultimate includes its easy to see what options will join the Palisade Limited Ultimate package.

What a Santa Fe Ultimate Adds:
  • Panoramic Sunroof
  • 8-inch touchscreen navigation system
  • 19-inch alloy wheels
  • Surround View Monitor
What the Ultimate Package for Limited 2019 Sonata Adds ($2,300 option):
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Rear parking sensors
  • Rear side window sunshades
  • 8-inch navigation system
  • Infinity® Premium Audio System
  • HD Traffic (Real-time traffic service)
  • SiriusXM Travel Link® with 90-day trial; Not available in AK & HI
  • Blue Link® Guidance Package (3-year complimentary trial)
Maybe we'll see a $2,000+ Ultimate Package for the Palisade Limited?

i'm going to ballpark the hyundai palisade ultimate price at $48,900.
like mentioned above it WILL be happening, some journalists spoke on it as well mentioning...

"The latter is displayed on an available 10.25-inch touchscreen with a wide aspect ratio, well-laid-out menus, crisp graphics and good response times. Even if you don't opt for the fully digital gauges on top-shelf Ultimate models, a large multi-function display in the cluster can momentarily display the live video feed from the right- or left-hand-side camera when the turn signal is activated to aid while passing. Think of Blind View Monitor like Honda's love-or-hate LaneWatch, only smarter. (You don't have to look further away to the center screen, and it works on both sides of the vehicle, unlike Honda's system.)" ~ CNet

"When it’s released sometime around summer 2019, the Palisade likely to undercut rivals such as the Honda Pilot and Subaru Ascent by several hundred dollars in most of its configurations, although Hyundai hasn’t yet said how much it will cost.

The 2020 Palisade will be available in SEL, SEL Plus, Limited, and Ultimate trim levels with a few options scattered between them."
~ TCC

"Most of our time was spent in a light beige leather-equipped Ultimate with a butter-soft headliner that punched higher than Hyundai’s traditional budget caste. Lighter shades feel brighter; darker shades will be popular picks for spill-heavy families, though. A deep red burgundy may be the Palisade’s #BestLife, but it’s not clear if that version will make it Stateside." ~ TCC

"Powering all Palisade models is a 3.8L Atkinson Cycle Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) V6 engine with Idle Stop & Go (ISG). The Palisade will be available in base SE, midlevel SEL, upscale SEL Plus, luxury Limited, and top-of-the-line Ultimate trim levels. Every Palisade trim level will offer standard features such as one-touch second-row seat access, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment display, and second-row USB charging ports. Additional features available on select Palisade trim levels include roof side rails, proximity key with push-button start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and transmission shift knob, heated front seats, a third-row USB charging port, a power sunroof, a "Hands-Free" Smart Liftgate with proximity sensor and auto open, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Sirius XM Satellite Radio and HD Radio, the Bluelink in-vehicle telematics system, twenty-inch (20") aluminum-alloy wheels, leather-trimmed seating surfaces, manual rear window sunshades, multiple device connection, active noise cancellation, a dual moonroof with shade, auto-dimming and auto-folding side and auto-dimming rearview mirrors, a full-display rearview mirror, Nappa leather-trimmed seating surfaces, and a full-color Heads-Up Display." ~ Wiki

Palisade Trim and Specs

There may be some conflicting info. On Hyundai's spec sheet, it lists most of the Ultimate options you mentioned for the Santa Fe and Sonata as standard on the Limited trim, such as, the Surround View Monitor, premium audio system, Blue Link, and in the Palisade's case, a dual sunroof.

Further, it details optional packages with pricing that you can add to the SEL to bring it closer to the Limited, but no such listing for optional packages for the Limited itself.

Lastly, Hyundai has announced trim levels and pricing for each. There are only 3: SE, SEL and Limited. So, the report that states there would be an SEL Plus is now incorrect. In all honesty, Hyundai could have decided to change how many trims they had between this past December and now. It makes sense. Rather than making an SEL Plus, they decided to make just the SEL, then provide several packages you could add on a la carte. It would be more appealing to build your car the exact way you want.

In looking at the spec sheet, I'm not quite sure what else could be added to make an "Ultimate" package for the Limited trim =\

As bzmary24 stated, just because it was mentioned in the past doesn't mean it will actually happen.

Also, Ultimate may be the name of an option package, as opposed to an actual trim level. Just like Prestige on the Telluride. Some people refer to it as the Telluride SX Prestige, but it's really the SX with the Prestige option package.
